Brutal Strength Good for Any Killers?

I find Brutal Strength isn't that useful except for playing killers where:

  1. The survivor is predicting your attacks and are going to predrop the pallet (killers like Executioner, Huntress, Deathslinger...).
  2. You can't down them across the pallet.

Pyramid Head can hit across the pallet, so can Huntress, Trickster, and Nemesis, so predropping doesn't inhibit them quite so much.

Deathslinger, Plague can injure across pallet but can't down (unless Plague has corrupt bile).

Killers like Oni (in blood rage mode), Blight, Cannibal, Hillbilly, Nemesis can just break the pallet relatively easily without having to kick.

Killers like Hag, Nurse, Doctor, Spirit, Legion (in frenzy mode), Pig can possibly avoid having to deal with the pallet at all using their powers, going around, through, or over the pallet.

Wraith has add ons to break pallets faster when cloaked, so those builds don't really need Brutal Strength.

So who are the killers that really benefit or can use Brutal Strength in their builds? To me, I see Clown, Wraith (without the fast pallet breaking add on), Legion (outside frenzy), Myers, Nightmare (Freddy), Possibly Plague, Twins, Cenobite?

But would you recommend Brutal Strength on any of them? I'm highly considering it for Clown, but maybe Enduring is objectively better?

The only killer I've used Brutal on regularly is Clown. I'd say Brutal is definitely better than Enduring on him because his counterplay is pre-dropping pallets. Good survivors won't try to get that extra loop when they know they can drop the pallet and run to the next loop.

Brutal Strength is generally outclassed by other downtime-reducing or chase-shortening perks, but it is pretty decent on Clown since the one meagre thing he's capable of doing is countered hard by predropping pallets. If I were to recommend Brutal Strength on basically anyone, it'd be Clown- though shoutout to Cenobite, Bamboozle and Brutal Strength are generally pretty okay on him since windows/pallets are his easiest hits so getting through them faster always helps. Not the most useful ever, though.

It never does nothing, though. Since it also boosts wall breaking and generator kicking, it always does something for you, even if it's not much.

Clown is the only killer I use it on, it really needs to be buffed.

It's pretty good on Clown, the combination of slower move speed for the survivor and faster breaking speed for you means they make less distance.

While Enduring could be a good alternative, I noticed that just causes the survivors to pre-drop more pallets, as Enduring is used commonly with Spirit Fury.

I like it on Clown because the counter to Clown is to pre-drop.

Brutal strengh is good when the counter play is to pre drop the pallet.

So the best killer for that perk are freddy, clown and doctor.

As others have said, Clown is an excellent user of the perk. Intoxicate for slowdown and break a pallet quickly for less distance for the survivor.

The perk in general needs a buff though.

I unironically love it on Twins. Both Brutal and Bamboozle, they make Charlotte feel slightly more useful. Charlotte is the big sibling so shes gotta do the heavy lifting for little bro

It may not be good but I love downing survivors with BOTH Twins. Killer shack is an easy example; block the pallet with Charlotte and bamboozle the window and you made that loop worthless with little time wasted.

It's honestly a feel good perk but when it boils down to it only a few killers I won't run it on and that's killers that can break with there rush. Does not matter if you can down over a pallet these days.

For 1 - Pre-drop then hold W is what I see the most no matter the killer I am using.

For 2 - You still will kick the pallets at some point even if you got the down so it's still useful.

Demo, Bubba, etc are killers I see no value.

The only time i use brutal strengt is with fire up as a meme build.

And i feel that even at 3 stacks of fire up and brutal together really doesn't do a lot

I use Brutal in a bunch of killers like Wraith, Pig, Clown etc. I don't think the perk itself is very strong but dropping pallets early is extremely strong against killers like Pig and Clown while in pallet dense maps it is also pretty strong against Wraith. Brutal is the only way to really somewhat counter this.

Thanks all. Yeah, the only killers I've really considered for Brutal are Trapper and Clown. For Clown, I'm thinking of trying Pop, Brutal, Deadlock, and Surge. I normally like Save the Best for Last on him, too, but it stinks always running into the obsession.

You have to be a little careful dropping pallets early against Doctor, though. If he sees it coming he can shock you right as you drop the pallet and you'll end up trapped next to it while he just walks around the loop to hit you (assuming it's not a god pallet that he can't walk around.)

On a tangent, a funny meme build is Brutal, Fire Up and Lightborn. It's the build that when they pre-drop a pallet and try to flashlight blind you while you break it you pretty much get a free hit.

Definitely a total meme thing but still really funny watching flashlight users scramble because who in their right mind uses that combo? 😄
