You stole 100+hawking's offerings. I'm not happy.
I get it the maps being removed in the future, but how about you dont just wipe them all way before? Minimum that's put me 500k BP in the trash.
Like come on, I had so many to use on survivor and killer all of which can be made into fun meme builds or to help certain challenges. But now it's all gone... do you know how many few players have versed a "dont miss a skill check freddy"? I'll tell you hardly any.

was pretty uncalled for ye, usually get a warning before stuff is deleted

At the very least they should have given back the same amount of BP spent on them. Glad I was already working on using them up.
On a side note, it’s Hawkins.
10 -
i was going to use mine at the last minute to send Hawkins out with a bang. They didn't say anything about this.
Pretty scummy if you ask me

I'm a little sad about it. I wanted to keep at least one of the offerings as a keepsake.

I definitely do think a warning should have been issued. I guess it's some licensing thing.

Now you know how I felt when they took my Splinters.

Yep -- another head-scratching decision that makes one wonder if the people in charge at BHVR ever actually think things out before they act upon them sometimes.
We all knew Hawkins was going to be leaving as a map in mid-November. People making decisions at BHVR should obviously have known people had the offerings for the map, that some people like myself might be planning a marathon of using the offerings at the end (I wanted to do a s day/night of nothing but Steve/Nancy/Demo gameplay on Hawkins to send it out with a bang), and that people might have been investing BP in recent Bloodwebs to do the same thing.
With all of that obviously in play, I'll assume that several people sat in a meeting when removing the offerings came up. Reasons for removing it could have been that it was easiest to do so now in the current patch than when it's gone forever, or maybe there's some other background reason we've not privy to. And NO ONE thought to speak up and say, "Hey -- why don't we let people know we're doing this, so they don't feel like they got shafted with their offerings?". Or is someone DID speak up, someone ELSE said, "Nah ... it doesn't matter what our players might be doing with them. Make the change anyway and we just don't tell them." In either case, it's complete ignorance of how to do the little things to keep your player base happy, and it's an amazing sign that BHVR manages to almost always get these kind of things wrong on a continual basis.

Oh I had them too, but I only had 1 for keeps sake, not much use to play killers through an addon when I owned them lol.
Well I assumed they would last till the maps gone, I understand removing them from the blood webs so you dont keep getting them but just deleting them from inventories is kinda lame

Splinters were never deleted, just retired

I had one on every Stranger Things character as a memento. To be fair, not much surprises me from Behavior anymore.
3 -
I know.
I lost my last ones when I prestiged my Freddy, but that was mostly on me.
I got extremely angry that they were retired. Not to mention that no Bloodpoints were given to compensate.

My very last one was lost when I prestiged my Freddy, after they were retired.

Yeah I have a few moonlight offerings that are just sitting in some of my characters inventories and old common and uncommon map offerings. So I know how you feel.
But me having those is also the reason I refuse to prestige Jake, Laurie and Feng. As well as level up Jeff since he has Winter Party Starters and Winter Mystery Boxes in his Web

A small price to pay for getting rid of Hawkins. I'd pay a billion if we could get rid of rpd next.
0 -
I refuse to level up my Dwight too because his Bloodweb has a Winter Gift.
I know how it is.
0 -
If they add them back would you level him up?
0 -
oh no! anyways.
I doubt anybody would play 100 consecutive games on Hawkins anyway. no matter how you slice it, it was wasted bp. Also the offering is part of the licensing too. so they have to take it away.

In a perfect scenario where DBD returned to be the same game that I loved, with another Winter Solstice Event on top of it?
Hell yeah, I would.
0 -
Didn't they just give you over 800k BPs? That seems to more than make up for your loss.
0 -
Would be great if they say: "here is some BP to cover your loss". I belive that was just a random BP
1 -
Bit of a dick move, yeah.

I dont think the game can return to that state. Were at a point where no matter what BHVR does the community will have a fit about it.
Im almost positive that if Hallowed Blight were to come back, the community would claim that "oh, its just holding mouse 1 again".
Why do I say this? Midnight Grove is not a bad event, its actually pretty solid. Yet people are treating it like its worst than Eternal Blight.
This games downfall will be its own community

There's nothing wrong with hawking's though... RPD on the other hand is far too big.
Pretty sure the naps staying till November? Either way a full month is 30 days so I could easily do 3 a day...
Point being is they shouldn't just take items away especially without a warning. But if I knew they was taking them away at an X date I would of used them more anyway

No, my friend.
There is still hope:

Nah the biggest issue with the events is how little change is made to the look. At base you get a candle on 1 gen... A CANDLE! It really wouldn't be too hard to make every gen/hook Halloween themed and just add extra decorations here and there. Once it's done they can just use it every year, but the fact some games I load in and never seen anything Halloween themed is disappointing.
Also.... why a new offering...

I'm glad the map will be gone soon, but I wanted to keep the offerings as retired.
0 -
Let me guess you didn't like it as survivor?
0 -
Lmao, clever
1 -
That's not your concern. So guess whatever you want.

If BHVR doesn't want to bring back the amazing game that DBD once was, then I am willing to do it for them.
1 -
A lot of offerings are generally useless, just bloodweb filler. Shrouds, luck, hook distance changes, increase/decrease the dark mist, ect. Even the brown bloodpoint offerings, don't really pay you back for what they cost. If you hit 6000 in a category, you'll break even, anymore than that, you'll gain a small amount, up to 1000 more than the cost of the offering. I'd like an option to at least sell offerings, I have no use for, to gain bloodpoints back.

Its not about DbD being an amazing game or not, its about the community.
The community is at a point where no matter what is done, theyll find something to complain about and cause an outrage. This midchapter is a perfect example. It had so many positive changes yet people only focused on the slinger and spirit nerf which barely did anything to their viability but just made them more fun to go against.
Its not the devs fault that the community takes this game like its a god damn eSport, the community is gonna kill the game well before the devs are

RPD is the map that should have been removed.
