Is Nemesis movement speed a problem?

he's basically a ranged killer just like trickster, huntress and deathslinger, yet his movement speed is 115%. in tier 3, he moves at the exact same speed as survivors so he can literally just hold it down while chasing and the range of that tentacle is crazy, not to mention the fact that you could just drag it if you miss it.

he's an extremely easy killer to play (well, maybe trickster is easier) if you understand his hitbox.

    It’s only 6 meters though.

I think he's fine as is. the fact he needs to get to mutation rate three to get the ms is a big downside, and if survivors play safe against him like they would Oni it can be very hard for him to tier up in a timely manner.

If anything I would say he needs a slight buff. Either the first hit of tentacle strike that infects should either not grant a sprint burst, or it should interrupt actions such as unhooking, repairing generators and cleansing totems.

His Whip attack range before level 3 is less then a lunge and the same as a lunge at T3.

If he could whip you in the open he could have punched you instead.

Didn't know his tentacle range was that short, but I always felt that I was well beyond 6 meters and he still hit me. maybe latency or my poor judgment of distance haha. but the fact that he's able to correct himself after missing a tentacle strike, that is really unlike any of the ranged killers including pyramidhead and pinhead..

Yes he moves at the same speed as survivors in tier 3 but there's one thing: The killer hitbox is significantly bigger so the survivor still gains distance. Not a lot of distance but still gets distance.

His tentacle has the same range of a lunge.

I'll say it again: his tentacle has the same range of a lunge.

I don't think he's movement speed is a problem. I think he's one of the most balanced killers. His range is short, compared to other ranged killers. The tentacle has a small hitbox, unlike Huntress hatchets. He does have counterplay. He can heavily punish mistakes of survivors. And makes survivor resources less of a problem, but not completely useless. So he has a good trade off in his chase potential, for how useless his "map pressure" zombies are.

Shhh. Don't go saying anything about his tier III because you're gonna get the "Deathslinger/demogorgon has free zoning" crowd to come here and scream for nerfs. That being said for all the strengths he has they're all pretty balanced out by the fact that contamination is a free speed boost.

to me technically yeah nemesis' movement speed is a problem

in the sense that unlike anything else in-game you get the same 2 sec sprint burst on initial whip hit for a non-health state damaging attack

i've stopped running for a bit after taking infection hits to sort of demo what it'd be like in-game and despite dev assertions originally of how busted it was it felt a lot more reasonable to go against him rather than having essentially a built-in reposition cheat in addition to my built-in reposition cheat i.e. sprint burst, just takes him sooooooo damn loooong to get anything done if you really run him around

I am lowkey scared of it. Nemesis is our little secret, let's keep it that way. Survivors can have Trashslinger.

A Low range 'ranged' attack that's also extremely punishing if missed deserves something to keep it balanced, Entity knows those zombies dont do anything except let you know someone's around before they get stuck somewhere for 4 minutes.

They only nerf unlicensed killers like Billy, Nurse, Spirit and Gunslinger. Nemesis won't be touched in the next 2 years since that DLC is still generating some profit. Your argument could also go for Pyramid's ranged attack, and he won't be touched either. Ranged Pinhead will probably be buffed in the near future because killers were not satisfied with his performance.

Not all ranged killers should move slow. Especially since Trickster should be 115

"A whip is a ranged weapon."

    Eh? Ehhhhh? Eeeeeehhhhhhhhhh?

I mean, it's a melee with some notable reach, but I wouldn't call it a ranged weapon. That's like saying a blunderbuss is a melee weapon.

A range killer like deathslinger, huntress and trickster?

    🤣🤣🤣

    Now I've heard everything.

Are you serious or are have you been using something which make you say weird things? 🤣🤣

5/6 meters of range and he needs 3 tentacle hits all of which allow survivors to hold W to prolong chases without any skill requirement.

Yeah no... Nemesis definitely does not a nerf.

Personally the only thing I would change about him is to make his tentacle prioritise pallets over survivors. Considering it already chews throught pallets in no time, it seems a bit unfair that he can also hit over them.

agreed, it seems like he has the fastest pallet break among all killers

bubba is the fastest given he's probably chasing you with chainsaw anyway, <1s animation and then he's immediately on your [donkey] again at 115%
