In its current form, Technician is arguably better for griefing than helping a survivor with skill checks. I don't get why this perk can't work more like Bite the Bullet, by reducing the penalty applied from missed skill checks. Obviously it shouldn't make generator repairs silent (that'd be insane, honestly), but as it stands, it's far too punishing for the benefit it gives you.
Instead of increasing the regression penalty by 5/4/3%, I think it should decrease it by 3/4/5%.
What do you all think?

I believe its a perk intended to help new players. Honestly, I wish it were moved to one of the starting players. If a player wants to troll however, getting rid of this perk is not going to stop them. I would much rather have the option for people to play and not worry about failing skills checks until they're better at making them.

Yeah, the perk is geared towards helping newer players, but I think it does more harm than good, currently.
