Is dead hard really any different from the endurance status effect?

Sure, they activate differently, but are ultimately interchangeable in any circumstance I can think of. Endurance has some serious restrictions on use, but dead hard does not. Considering that, doesn't this make Dead Hard stronger than the endurance status effect? If so, why does it not have as many restrictions as endurance does?

I'd say Dead Hard is a little better. They're both an extra Health State but the Endurance Effect also give you a Sprint Burst if you're hit while DH only give you a little distance but it can be used whenever unlike Endurance and can also extend a Loop by a really long time depending on the tile. Also DH is easier to activate

It’s not as good due to the distance gained off of a hit

The DH gives you distance by just pressing a button, if well used it can give you at least 40 seconds of chase, endurance is just negate hit and gives a little distance

Endurance gives you WAY more distance. You have the 50% speed boost for 3 seconds on top of the killer having to wipe their weapon. Dead Hard only gives you a little bit of distance alongside maybe the killer whiffing an attack. Endurance is way stronger, there's a reason it has restrictions on when it can activate (look at how stupid Mettle of Man was).

Yeah, I was thinking Endurance was way better because of the distance it gives, especially in relation to killers like bubba who can easily chainsaw through dead hard's distance. The only weakness of endurance is that you generally don't get to choose when it's used. And yes! mettle of man + dead hard builds were silly af.
