Which killers deserved better ?
Which killers whos been nerfed deserved better ? And which one deserved the nerfs for you ?
I think Pyramid Head was better when he could see the cages and was more fluid to play. He was strong, where he should be.
The Twins deserved the nerf. I play them and they are still killing machines.
Freddy deserved better. Yes he was very strong, but now he dont have enough dream snares and nobody play him anymore.
Spirit. It was the perfect change for her, she is now fair and still top tier killer.
Deathslinger, he deserved better. I dont play him but I dont understand why he has been change. He was totally fine.
I wont speak about all killers. It will be too long. But I want to know your opinions.
And I want the devs to reverse some nerfs, let us hear our opinions. About wrong and right changes :)

Deathslinger. They absolutely destroyed him.

Nemesis

Pig. With all the awesome things that could be done with the 'Saw' theme, they turned her into an annoying M1 killer with a silly gimmick.
Pinhead. His main power feels like it's almost never worth casting, as the time you spend firing chains is basically a wash with how much time you lose on chase - and that's if you actually connect.
Nemesis. He needs 3-4 zombies. Right now, unless you are lucky and they don't get stuck in a wall somewhere, he's mostly a crap version of PH.
Doctor. Nearly perfect except for the fact that his 'shock' doesn't interrupt actions correctly at least half the time. It should break the animation if it's started as latency makes this ability so weak.
Nerfs:
Freddy feels gutted.
Spirit is fine.

Billy

No kidding. Played him for the first time the other day for a daily and it's like if they made molasses a killer. Never playing him again, unless he gets changed. Feels incredibly horrible to play as.
4 -
Nemesis
While cool and all, they could of made him much more true to his character
3 -
All killers deserved better. Yes, even Nurse.
4 -
two come to mind immediately:
- Hillbilly
- Deathslinger
and a rather personal opinion, but i think Doctor was cooler before the changes.
switching between a Treatment Mode and a Punishment Mode gave him a certain feeling that no one else really had. The Shockblast just doesnt quite feel right to me.
5 -
yeah it's brutal, can't believe they did that to him..

Billy, Deathslinger, Clown

Legion, Ghostface, Trapper, Trickster.
1 -
LEGION
Face it. You only know of Legion because people talk about them, and they keep getting cosmetics.
5 -
Twins needed a nerf, but not like that. Being punished for playing the twins how they are intended is just @$$
6 -
Freddy, Hillbilly and Deathslinger by far. Three killers gutted for absolutely no reason.
2 -
Freddy absolutely deserved way better.
3 -
Billy and Deathslinger are in a similar boat. Both received unnecessary changes that made them much less fun to play even if their overall power isn't much lower.
Freddy is now a shell of his former self. His rework made him a good killer, but he's been slowly nerfed both with direct power and addon nerfs and indirect nerfs to the perks he had good synergy with. He doesn't really have anything going for him anymore.
These are the top 3 killers who really deserve better.
6 -
They nerfed Twins the wrong way in my opinion, why would the cooldown be just as long for successfully using your power, vs missing? Makes no sense
6 -
I think its ok. The problem I have with them is Charlotte loosing hitboxe after some seconds when you use Victor and the new mechanic when you cant switch to one or other when near a hook.
I know some people abused bodyblocking etc but we are punished because of them, Charlotte afk in jungle gyms was fun, using her as a wall you place where you want.
And unability to switch near hooks is just annoying sometimes when you have to be quick to protect a totem or a generator.

As others have said, Billy and Deathslinger are the ones who've been nerfed half to death. They can still perform most of their heyday functions, but they feel horrible to play and the tedium you have to go through to handle them doesn't yield worthwhile results (as opposed to Nurse or Blight, who have steep learning curves but pay off the effort.)
Freddy doesn't exactly feel bad to play, but he's unbelievably boring and little about his power actually resembles Freddy. It's not surprising that you rarely see him after his nerf; he was at least a strong kind of bland and now he's just bland. I don't miss the endless slowdown Freddies, but if I had to nominate a killer for a rework from the ground up, it'd be Legion or him.

Deathslinger: A bit too much of a nerf.
Billy: WAY TOO MUCH.
Freddy: I don't even want the pre patch Freddy, I just want the Old Freddy. So not a nerf in terms of strength but fun.
Pyramid Head: I think the Cage thing was fine but the sword pick up and put down wasn't It didn't even make him bad just made him feel terrible.
Legion: I know old Legion wasn't fun to vs but I think they did too much.

Ive seen some Nemesis complains. I play him I I think he is fine, but maybe yes a third zombie could be useful.
0 -
I think a 3rd zombie would be nice.
3 -
Freddy absolutely deserved better, more than any other killer.
He received some of the most drastic changes in all of DBD's history, even though not a single change was ever required. It doesn't get worse than this.

never should have removed PHs m2 cancel with m1

My boy Billy got shafted pretty hard for basically no reason.
BHVR practically said he was on par for the course, but they gave him the Ol' lick-n-stick anyways

I'm glad. 9/10 that i played against just camped with Victor. The funny thing though is the twins are virtually non existent I consistently forget they're even in this game. I personally say good riddance but it sucks for those who like them but can't be bothered to play them
0 -
I say Legion. Power is wack to use and go against. You get punished for using and not using it meanwhile we have invis ghosts and bouncing crack boy doing their job but way better with few downsides. Good killer design
1 -
Trapper. He's the face of the game, and it took them five years to do something that we were hoping for back in like 2018.
4 -
Pyramid Head did not deserve the sequence of nerf upon nerf he got in rapid succession like 2 weeks after release. Survivors didn't understand how his power worked and died a bunch and he got railed into pointlessness. Now that everybody understand his whole biz, nobody wants to play him.
And that's to say nothing of how he has the worst selection of addons of any killer in the game.
2 -
Billy and Deathslinger. They both got nerfed in a bad way.

I just hate how long victor takes to recover after downing. After you down someone you should have a chance to get after someone close by, in which case you likely jump on their head or you miss and get kicked while they potentially get up whoever got downed. It's fair except if feels like getting DS'd every time you down a survivor with victor. They should have just fix these areas charlotte can be left, because you can crouch around victor (for some reason people don't know this). Also if you drop a pallet on an inactive charlotte it kills victor. If I were to redo the nerfs it would be after a survivor removes or kicks victor make that have a longer cool down, like 20 seconds as opposed to 5 (or about as long as legions power to recharge). After that I would make it so you can't put charlotte in the basement, and make it so victor doesn't have hit detection while he is inactive (so you cant just block windows from one side during chase. They are not trapper ffs. But then make the downs feel fluid and less awkward and clunky.

Wraith. He was always a pretty bad killer, then he finally got buffer to mid tier and nerfed swiftly thereafter in the recent patch.
According to some forum goers and the devs, he was “a wee bit OP.”
The sad thing is, the people who influenced his nerf are going to struggle just as much as they did before, whilst Wraiths and other survivors who knew how to play vs. him get screwed over, all for nothing.
Rather lame.
2 -
That's how I described him when I played him as well: molasses.
However, you get used to it, and moving more quickly while aiming encourages staying in your sights around loops, and the reduced stun time when a chain brakes makes "Save the Best for Last" a much more viable perk.
(for those who don't know, you can break your chain when reeling and injuring your obsession so you only have to lose 2 stacks before downing her/him)

Trickster needs actual buffs. 115 movement speed like a regular killer
1 -
In my opinion he needs to feel more like Nemesis more faithful to RE I’m thinking about making one.

Hillbilly, Freddy, Deathslinger.

His chains need to be sturdier, they break if a light breeze wafts through.

Hillbilly

Is he the killer whos got the most nerfs ?
0 -
Pig's EGC nerf is still BS IMO.
0 -
Deathslinger, poor guy.
But a nerf that was deserved was spirit. She was way too op as we all know and now she actually feels like a more balanced character,
4 -
Trickster, Deathslinger, Legion, Pig and Trapper.
Trickster has recoil for some reason, Leg and Pig have been nerfed so many times, Trapper needs an update to make him the face of the game again and Deathslinger was murdered.
2 -
He certainly got the FASTEST nerfs. But there have been killers who've been nerfed into virtual unplayability before PH. Legion was totally changed for the worse, same with Hillbilly, same (now) with Spirit and Deathslinger.
The PH problem was that they jumped down his throat so fast that you'd get whiplash if you were trying to track it all. And that was on top of the pre-baked nerfs they put on him. Can't put trails anywhere you'd want to, unlike trapper, hag, demogorgon, plague, or Nightmare. Rescuing from a cage removes TWO instances of his power instead of just the one, unlike Pig, Doctor, Legion, Plague, or Nightmare. He's got a short-ranged attack, but it projects a big red beam telling the survivor where it's going to hit, unlike Huntress, Trickster, Deathslinger, Doctor, Nurse, Clown, Nemesis, or Cenobite.
When you go through all the limits they put on PH, it's wild. And, once again, that's all on top of having the worst AddOns of any killer in the game. His powers have been nerfed multiple times, his perks have been reworked, other killers have had their addons nerfed/buffed, and FIVE new killers have all come out since, but there's been no touch to PH's just atrociously useless addons.
1 -
Yes I know the PH story, I played him since the release. And after the nerfs I just left him, he doesnt feel strong anymore.
He used to be fun and interactive, now its just a pain to play him.
Silent Hill and Resident Evil are my favorite licences in dbd, I wish I could enjoy Pyramid as I enjoy Nemesis..

I agree with all the reasons above but I have to mention Trickster for a reason that hasn't been discussed yet:
MAIN. EVENT. SHOULD. NOT. BE. ON. A. TIMER.
You get it 1-3 times in a match and being forced to use it or lose it feels more like a sideshow rather than something strong that should be feared.
1 -
PH is a lesson on over-reacting to community feedback. On the one hand, it's useful to respond to ongoing concerns, but on the other, "fixing" things as quickly as people start complaining, before people have a chance to learn how to play with/against them is an awful, knee-jerk response that leaves middling powers far, far weaker than they ought to be.
1 -
They always listen to survivors but never killer complains 😂

pretty good ideas.
