I would think the average is somewhere between late teens to late twenties. Personally almost every person I've met on this game was older than me. I'm 18 now but I started playing over 2 years ago. None of my peers that I knew of were into Dbd either so yeah.

My guess, going by streamers would be 22-25. I'm 30 and have played since Myers was released.

I'd say when it started majority probably was 30/40s because of the 80s slasher vibe attracting those fans, but as it grew in popularity with streamers the majority switched to high school - college age. On fb dbd groups can see the ages of people and majority do seem to be that high school - college age group. In those FB groups there's a decent amount of late 20s/early 30s players that are parents posting about letting their elementary school aged kids play on their red/purple rank account and get upset at the messages/end chat the kids receives after a match.

I'm 53 and I've had people say such terrible things in the endgame chat. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I wonder if they'd talk to their mom or grandma that way. You have a good point though... I should just realize that it's probably immaturity. Who knows.
I got into this game because of my teenage son and his friends playing it. They moved on a couple years ago and here I am still playing it. :)
I'm one of those potato players when it comes to being chased. I'm not good at getting away, so I try to play more immersive.

I stream on Twitch and record for YouTube. It's amazing how many times I watch back video of my matches and I'm amazed at the things I miss -- survivors in clear view trying to hide, aura readings, etc. -- that I'm just going to chalk up to poor eyesight and hearing at my age, lol. 🤣

I'm 31 myself, been playing DBD for 4+ years.
So far the average age of people that I've met playing DBD has been 20-30, at least anyone that I've bothered talking to and getting to know. Most of them are in their early 20s though rather.

I wouldn't have guessed that -- you carry yourself as being much older (meant as a compliment). You tend to have well-stated opinions, are respectful even with those who disagree with you, your posts show little in the way of any bias and have an understanding of the bigger picture of the game, and you show a level of maturity in your posts overall.
