CIRCLE OF HEALING BREAK THE ######### GAME
no restriction, infinite use, you chose where you put the totem, destroy ANY snowball strategie that is required to win with basic killer, COMPLETLY denied like 20/25 killer on the roster.
this perk shouldnt even make it to the game and yet, only way to actually play basic killer is to camp or tunnel hard cuz you cant pressure or snowball in any way in high mmr this is without a doubt a top 3 or even top 1 perk in the game WITH EASE

it is pretty strong

It did break the game. Now its fixed.
🙃

haha so funny

Do like me play survivor and wait for the dev to nerf boon perk
1 -
dude survivor is boring and way to easy to find any joy with more than 20 minute of gameplay like not trying to be biased or something but damn its not fun
1 -
Wouldn't Nurse's calling be a good counter to Circle of healing? When your in the range of their auras, you'll also hear the totem nearby
6 -
Yeah, it's only active for less than hour, but sure it's OP already. We don't need actual experience and data to judge perks, right?
5 -
Not if they run shadow step with it
9 -
it is. if you consider leaving a zone you cant afford to leave at the cost of your gens
even if its not a counter cuz they can just put it back. and it also doesnt prevent them from using the perks
1 -
They also would probably be using Boon: Shadow Step which would just block the aura reading

This perk is fine, you guys are over-reacting.
Does it give both you and your entire team "We'll Make It" and a version of "Self-Care" that's more powerful than it's ever been in this game's history? Yes.
Does one person bringing this single perk basically mean you're giving your entire team the equivalent of 8 cumulative perks for one perk slot (SC and WMI for everyone)? Yes.
Does each of the perks it gives your team for free normally have an activation condition (unhooking) or a downside (reduced healing speed)? Yes.
And does this perk allow you to bypass these normal perk limitations to create super versions of them for free? Yes.
But you have to remember it's constrained to totems that take 14 seconds to bless, and that killers can extinguish it freely.
---
Now sure, 14 seconds to effectively give your entire team unconditional access to 8 super perks for one perk slot sounds overpowered, but think about it this way.
The killer can temporarily disabled that totem if they can find it, by deciding to take their much more valuable time locating and destroying it. Meanwhile the pitiable survivor needs to use a little more of their much less valuable time re-establishing it in the next key location of their choosing.
---
So overall, after thorough evaluation and contemplation, I would have to say this perk is really messed up and gl to you hit and run killers in particular. Sucks to be you.
Wait, I play Ghostface and Legion... Son of a-

Yes if the survivor start healing with no medkit and you are already in the range of nurse calling but if hes already healing and you spot him with nurse calling you wont have enough time to deny him

I expect the reason why the perk is so powerful is it's the dev's attempt to flesh out the soft secondary objectives in the game (totems) and create a real gameplay layer out of them. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of boon totem versions of regularly used perks come out fairly quickly, and then slowly get balanced back into line.
Honestly this is probably one of the better ways to try to expand the game, and while it may be more difficult in the short run, it'll probably end up being better for the game in the longer run.
Would be funny if they replaced the healing boost with an autodidact effect instead though :P
3 -
It would unless they are running shadow step as well then it would be useless

Best comment ever!👍😆
5 -
LOL this made me chuckle !!
2 -
Agree. Also stuff like prove theyself amd built to last to abuse broken items.
0 -
Hmm its funny cause when survivors complained about noed, the first thing we are told everyday like a child do totems run totem build etc, now we are doing the totems and its a issue. Killers still have way more broken perks to use combine with some adds can still overwhelm survivors.
3 -
Well they nerfed Killers in latest patch(es), i see why they did that. They will bring a 2v4 so the game gets balanced :D
0 -
Killers can't do totems though because killers can't break totems. Additionally, killers don't have totem locating perks. So at best killers can temporarily disable a boon if they're lucky enough to hear it and have the time to stop for it.
3 -
The other boon totem hides auras, and they combine into one
0 -
Thought there was some perk I think clown, that can be use to know when a survivor is near a dull totem though.
0 -
thats out of the point yes it take time but you denied snowball killer cant injure people anymore 16 second is NOTHING on the survivor side when injured go to the safe zone and done, the killer have to choose you or his gen but even if he follow you and break the totem you can DO IT AGAIN other perk are mostly fine because they doesnt work with everyway possible like either you yourself or other alone not both this perk actually doing that perfectly with 0 negative effect and any restriction
and at least GF can insta down and legion have deep wound but yeah THAT HURT
1 -
Nope. The healing is so fast that they'll be done in literally 10 seconds.
1 -
Just add some lethality to your perk builds to bypass the ability for them to run off and heal.
Perks like Make Your Choice, Starstruck, Haunted Ground
Alternatively you could just apply blindness, theoretically that should obstruct the aura of the boon totem from the survivors vision. (And if it doesn't work that way it probably should.)
1 -
thats just stupid to say that survivor are 4 OF COURSE they can find totem eisier its their job killer already doesnt have time they should not be forced to go more out of their main objective to shut down a SINGLE out of 16 PERKS
but just the fact that you say that killer have more op perk just show everything : |
0 -
Yeah, this is just someone watching (likely outdated), YouTube videos. I'd bet that OP has absolutely no actual experience with this perk 'ruining the game' but that they just looked at some 'The Sky is Falling' videos from when it first hit the PTB.
It was game-breaking in it's initial form under extreme circumstances where ALL survivors built toward breaking the game with it AND they focused EXCLUSIVELY on doing nothing but healing AND the map was conveniently built to allow a lot of overlap based on totem positioning.
I'm pretty sure this is why they reduced the radius - to avoid this kind of SWF exclusive focus.
The fact that even SWF groups wouldn't spend much time on this aside from novelty, it takes the right map layout (now alleviated), and there have been changes is lost on some.

Thus is life

oh yeah forced to take perk to deal with 1 survivor perk when they can have 16 good idea and yeah blindness when they can just see the blue effect on the map or just remember where the totem is
0 -
Well I mean, killers are usually forced to take some sort of gen defense anyway. Its not really any different. As the meta shifts so too does the answer to the meta.
0 -
oh you are that kind of person, you should stop making fool of yourself :)
0 -
yeah the meta is shifting right....making survivor having even more power while giving nothing or nerf the killer is meta shifting for sure.
0 -
Were you the autohaven wraith that chased the Ace for 10 minutes without switching targets allowing us to take protection hits, go heal up with COH, and then do it again?
Statistically probably not but he seemed to have a grievance with the perk.
0 -
no
0 -
Huh?
0 -
If you did the math, CoH is pretty much in line with other healing perks and is in fact less time efficient in a lot of ways.
For example, "We'll Make It" works infinitely. It works for all your teammates. And it's 8 second Heals compared to 16 second Heals. And you can't break it.
2 -
But OP is having their games ruined by trying to tunnel survivors out of the game instantly and not succeeding. Where is your compassion?
They're high MMR too. Or they say they are, which is really the same thing.
0 -
Okay, just completed 10 games using CoH. This is the -honest- review of what actually happens outside of the nuclear 'Everybody's going to come equipped with CoH, Shadow step and maxed medkits' doom train that people seem to be riding.
Most of the time, the game starts as normal, I don't go looking for a totem because that's a waste at the start of the game unless you spawn right next to one, which happened only once in those ten games. Its also a bad idea to have an audio cue in your area at the start of the match imo. Most of the time I found a totem around the time the second or third gen is done because I'm not going to spend precious time hunting one down when megs back on the hook and another team member is running vaults around the hook with the killer on their butt
Half the time when I'm injured or i get someone off the hook, the hook or myself are nowhere near the totem and I'm not gonna run across the map to do what i could do with We'll make it or a med kit, or i waste time running to the boon to heal up.
By the time my boons were found and snuffed, I found myself too busy most of the time, to even bother going to relight it. There were even games where i didn't find a totem, or only found one mid chase and couldn't do jack about it.
There are going to be teams who will make meme builds to screw with killers, but that's nothing different. And yes, i do advocate for either a cooldown or a 2 use limit per match, but as a solo player....solo survivors just don't have the time to constantly be hunting down totems or relighting them, you aren't always in the position to use them, and I've seen killers doing just fine with them in play.
The usual meta hasn't disappeared, in fact only one other person in all those games actually had a boon totem.
The perk could use a limitation, but it has not broken the game.
1 -
The only change I think it needs that's fair is to make It not stack with other healing perks or Medkits
0 -
That would be fair, i haven't got an opportunity to see how it works with my fave we'll make it, but I'm betting it's ridiculous.
1 -
This is good feedback, very helpful.
1 -
yes but it doesnt combine 3 perk into one for EVERYONE ONE while bein,g able to create safe zone
0 -
the usual meta didnt get away for survivor of course they have like broken perk to begin with its just another one on solo she is not so good in duo strong op on a team and there is no discution about it it doesnt change anything for survivor but for killer she just denied like 3/4 quarter of the killer roster alone

Do bones.
