Borrowed time change
Even though Borrowed time is a pretty balanced perk it’s not perfect. There’s one thing that’s really annoying about this perk. It doesn’t promote anti tunneling. Basically my problem with the perk is it’s annoying when someone unhooks and when you go for the unhooker the guy with BT body blocks and ######### you over cause he can block you in and you have no choice but to hit him. Here’s my change
For 8/10/12 seconds after unhooking a survivor that survivor is protected by the endurance status effect.
- Any damage taken that would put survivors in the dying state is ignored and will put deep wound on that survivor
- Taking damage while under deep wound or taking a protection hit will put the survivor into the dying state

If they body block, just wait 12 seconds then hit them.

I don't know about the protection hit part because of the range. 10 meters is pretty big if it's going to by pass what BT is trying to do for camping situations.
You'd have to make sure the rescuer was fully healed everytime, otherwise, the killer could just go for the unhooked player and trigger the 'taking a protection hit' claus and now he's back on the hook unless they have DS, but at that point why even bring BT.

Taking damage while under deep wound or taking a protection hit will put the survivor into the dying state
That would make the perk essentially void against campers, given how protection hits work.

I’m really confused what you’re asking. Are you essentially wanting damage be transferred from other survivors to the survivor covered by BT?
0 -
No I’m making it so when the survivor affected by borrowed time takes a protection hit they go down instead of getting deep wound
0 -
The wording wasn't clear to me either. But they're asking for the unhooked survivor to go down if they take a protection hit even while they have endurance.

Those 12 seconds could have been a gen being done or the people running to the gate. This game is about time you don’t have time to waste. I get in some situations this could work great but sometimes if it’s a indoor map these ######### can block the only way out and force you to hit them that’s why this change was made to prevent body blocking with borrowed time hits

Correct

And get DSd or Unbreakabled. Very clever
1 -
Then no. That is the sole effect of BT, wait out the 12 seconds for the down if you don’t want to send them off to mend. Unless it’s end game, you’re still putting a survivor out of commission.
2 -
Just remove collision so killer can go through survivor. That's all we need. Pretty simple as well
2 -
I've seen a lot of people suggest removing collison from the killer and the unhooked survivor during the endurance duration.
2 -
Wait, how is this different from current borrowed time?
0 -
What OP meant: taking a protection hit under endurance status effect = still go down.
0 -
Unhooker doesn't have DS active so no
0 -
Well by that time the 12 seconds would have been up so it all balances out
0 -
Waiting 12 seconds means unhooker is far far away and your only option is tunnel. So you down bodyblocking survivor and either eat ds or unbreakable instead of chasing unhooker.
See? that's the problem. Survivors should not be able to force you to tunnel them because they have perks that punish tunneling
0 -
Ok. So hit the unhooked survivor immediately, then chase the unhooker. I don’t have a lot of sympathy for killers in this scenario, unless it’s end game.
2 -
This means free protection hit and loss of distance on the unhooker. Free loss of momentum for the killer who don't even want to tunnel.
BT is anti tunneling perk, not free bodyblock after unhook perk
0 -
The momentum is not lost, because the survivor now has to mend. The killer could have chosen any number of strategies, but chose to protect an unhook instead of chasing elsewhere or patrolling gens.
That’s how the endurance status effect works, if that is how the survivor wants to utilize it then that is their choice. You’ve been given counterplay options.
1 -
You do realize how finicky protection hits are don't you? If borrowed time doesn't stop camping then why would you ever not camp?
3 -
it is lost because mending is much shorter than a regular injure. You don't need a teammate, perk or medkit to mend.
What if killer was chasing survivor to the hook and that guy unhooked his teammate in your face and you got bodyblocked by bt in a doorway?
Are you guys playing survivor exclusively? because any killer knows situation im talking about

I hate BT bodyblocking, but this would make BT useless. Plus other survivors could grief you by staying within 10m to ensure any hit is a protection hit.
Survivors should have no collision for 5 seconds after being unhooked. This means they cannot bodyblock at all, and can't be instadowned after getting unhook regardless of BT.
Then, BT should apply endurance for the following 10s, making 15s of total protection.

but that would require sacrificing a perk slot to counter a niche effect. Come to think of it I think this perk will become more popular now cause of Circle of healing
0 -
I get that but remember 4 perk slots only. You need atleast a Gen defense perk and depending on the killer you run a additional perk to increase there power I don’t know what perk to give up
0 -
actually, survivor under endurance losing collision seems to be the most reasonable fix
0 -
As much as I hate bodyblocking with BT, that change would destroy the perk because of how unreliable protection hits are.
3 -
You can enter your teammate's body by losing collision
0 -
you can restrict it to the killer, just like now when he hits you
0 -
Even tho I agree that body blocking with BT is dumb, that change would literally kill BT. Because the killer can just hit the person that just got unhooked even if he/she is trying to get away because that would count as a protection hit. A better solution would be to remove the survivor's collision for a few seconds.
If that ever happens to me in a match, which it does quite often, I just tunnel that person. Because for me, he/she is begging for it. Everyone should do the same lmao

I agree

My issue is camping killers, and forum members saying just bring BT, as if the killer cannot count to 12.
The protection time from Borrowed Time should not decrease while in a chase (and/or within 4 meters, to prevent moonwalking abuse)
0 -
BT sadly now is only an anti-tunnel perk and not anti-camp. It only helps the hooked player after being unhooked, does nothing for the person trying to safely get the unhook. I kinda like the OG version better for that reason, but it would trigger when you might not want it to.
We really need anti-camping measures or a good buff to Camaraderie.
Also I agree, 12 seconds from some hooks is not even enough time to reach a tile, locker, etc. But it could be abused by a survivor getting in the killer's face, however the solution is the same: just smack 'em.
