Totem/Survivor Spawns

About 5 out of my last 6 or 7 games I've had my Ruin get cleansed almost immediately, and I have to say that survivors being able to spawn literal meters from a hex totem at the beginning of the match is kind of ridiculous. I even slapped on Lethal Pursuer after a while just to confirm my suspicions and its almost surreal just watching a survivor begin cleansing my only hex totem in the entire map before the aura reading disappears.

Now I know that using a hex perk in the first place is a risk/reward, but not even letting it get the smallest chance at any kind of value because it gets cleansed right away is really disappointing to say the least. Now, if they did decide to change it so that survivors wouldn't spawn too close to totems, survivors could still find it 10 seconds into the match and begin the cleansing again. But that situation would be so much better than what can happen now with the killer not even getting a chance to defend their totem if certain spawns did happen.

There's also the discussion of survivors spawning right on top of generators being an issue and I more or less agree with that as well. I just think survivors might be a little too strong at the start of the match overall, having up to 4 different starting positions around the map and popping 2-3 gens for the price of a single hook. I honestly can't tell you how many times I've lost a match simply because the very first chase resulted in me losing my Ruin and 2 gens, usually because finding the first survivor takes a little while as well before the chase even starts.

I doubt fixing this kind of thing is a priority right now, but it sure would be nice for my hex totem to remain unbroken for at least 30 seconds. Maybe if hexes were blocked by the entity for the first 60 seconds of the match or something? I don't think that would be too overwhelming but its just an idea. Do you guys ever feel cheated by your totem spawns?
