The state of the game is one of the worst in it's history

While removal of keys and mories are changes in more balanced direction (It's not and will never be a balanced game though, simply by it's core design), it's current state is terrible.

  1. Hit validation. There is so many things a survivor can get away with right now it's not even funny anymore. Killer is picking up someone at a pallet and other survivor is injured? You don't even have to know the perfect timing anymore, hit validation will not let the hit happen if survivor misses the timing, resulting in both survivors getting away literally for free and killer getting stunned. This one is very consistent. Did you think Dead Hard countered Nurse? With hit validation affecting Dead Hard now a survivor is guaranteed to have three health states against her... To add the salt to the injury, literally ten minutes ago I got validated against 101% exhausted survivor... excuse me, what is this? There was not even a pallet or window near us.
  2. Hook invulnerabilty - this one is just stupid mechanic, especially with autoaim being able to force killer to hit the unhooked survivor through the unhooking one. Someone makes a risky, brain-dead play? No matter, they can randomly go away for free. Fair and balanced. Killer camps? Either do gens and leave or at least have BT on you...
  3. Haddonfield, The Game and Springwood. Don't get me started on this one, if you know, you know.
  4. Boons. Addition of boon perks is just an insult. Oh look, survivors have 16 perks against killer's 4... so let's make their 1 perk affect the whole team, so they only have to use one slot for free, fast healing... and the totems can be reignited an infinite number of times. In an unsimetrical game that tries to be balanced it should work exactly the opposite.
  5. Canceling animations. If you know the timing you can cancel killer's animation of picking survivor up with unbreakable. ? ? ? Why is this still a thing? Grabs fall into the same category... No killer even tries to go for grabs, because all that can happen is it being cancelled into a normal hit or getting stuck in the initial animation. I did see grab being canceled on unhooking survivor just to become hit on UNHOOKED survivor in his invulnerable state. Fair.
  6. The most obvious, but needs to be pointed out - Hackers. So many of them lately. For this one I blame content creators the most. As long as you give them attention in your ######### vids, they will keep going.
  7. Hillbilly. This was a nerf noone asked for. Either give him his addons back (especially cooldown after hit/miss) or remove overheating. I haven't seen a single good Hillbilly in like half of a year and not without a reason. Bubba is easier to play and actually better in 99% of situations... same goes for Blight.

Seriously, with all this stuff and mmr system going on you are unironically playing not s-tier killers, you are a masochist to me. I have so much love for this game, lore behind it, all the cool ideas and little gimmicks... but it's becoming less and less enjoyable.

PS: There are very good things going on though, tweaking of less used perks, giving Trapper second trap by default, changing Spirit (seriously, she is cool to play against now) cool archives and events, giving us more information on what addons actually do - There is a lot of great stuff going on and I love it, but I just can't put hours into DbD anymore, not when I have so limited time now and most games feel like I make mostly good calls just to loose, because game decided I don't get this hit right here. And survivors is boring as #########, but it was the case since the begging so I can't really complain about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Edit: I should mention, that I actually do like the dynamic of boons and hexes separately. Looking for opponents totems or igniting/looking for them in key moments is fun and interactive and I enjoy it a lot - it's the fact that the already easier side (survivor is easier and have game balanced towards their side, this is a fact) of the asymetrical game have their totem mechanics much, much stronger. It just can't be that side with 16 (again, just 1 of these 16 affecting the whole team, allowing for other 15 meta bullshit) perks can reignite theirs and side with just 4 can't... If this isn't the proof who has this game rigged in their favour I don't know what else you need to see it.

You never played with a double window shack and 2 pallets at every junk tile. The game is not even close to the worst state it's been in. Maybe since you started playing, but not the games lifetime. Go watch some YouTube videos of 2016 dbd and you'll stop crying about what we have now

@Fuzzels Good one :). I will take any infinite over survivors not needing to know timings for pallet saves, using dead hard ect. You can play Hag, Spirit or Nurse to not care about infinites or just trap it with Trapper, but when survivor can be late with pallet save while injured or exposed, get revived, stun killer and just get away, there is a problem. Having half of the team incapacitated or 0 pressure at all is literally handing over the game to survivors. Not to mention that Haddonfield is still in game.

It's just so sad when they can actually fix mories and keys (and by fixing I mean make them useless, but at least this bs is not longer in game) just to break the game even more.

Oh and the golden whataboutism. I didn't play in 2016, but I do play this game reguralry for almost 4 years now, so tell me how little I know about it's balance. If you really think the game is so fun now, go play not an instadown killer. Enjoy, cause I just can't.

It's not that hit validation is such a giant issue that makes the game unplayable, but it's one of many issues that contribute. If things worked as intended, it would be actually nice, because the very idea behind many changes (hook invulnerabilty and the said validation for example) are good, but with the current execution they are just yet another layers randomly bugging out and screwing just one side of the players - and this is unacceptable.
