The State of Killer and Why It Will Never Change
So, currently, the state of killer is incredibly unfun to play 75% of the time. With boons, people splitting and slamming gens, there's little reason to not tunnel someone off of hook at 4 - 5 gens because as they go down 2 gens will pop anyways.
There's a reason for this though. The games whole shtick is asymmetrical horror. Asymmetrical being the key word here. For this game to work efficiently in queues, the player base needs to be split 20/80
This means we need 20% of people to be playing killer and 80% to be playing survivor at any given time. This system inherently encourages the devs to keep survivor more relaxed, while rewarding you with less points on average than a killer match will because killer is more stressful.
To be clear, these days I totally play more survivor, but it's not because I like survivor more, most of the time I find survivor to be boring, and I'm hesitant to play killer because of the stress and frustration it can induce when you try to play clean and avoid camping or tunneling.
Getting a 4k is great, but I'd be satisfied with a 2k if I didn't have to endure t-bagging, flashlight clicking and survivors refusing to leave until I show up at the exit gate so they can try to squeeze in their last 500 blind points to help try to increase their 11,000 from sitting on gens and not touching anything else.
I'm tempted to run noed, and to be honest I shouldn't be hesitant to do so in the first place, but as survivor I find it unfun to play against.
I just wish there was a solid way to make it more fun, without it ruining the fun of the other side in some capacity, but it feels impossible.
I'm gonna try some killer either tonight or tomorrow, and please, if you're playing survivor, just leave when the gates are opened and stop wasting both of our time.
P.S, performance issues also suck and ruin the fun just as much, how can my PS4 Pro flawlessly run something as beautiful as Ghost of Tsushima without so much as a frame drop, while a survivor kicking a pumpkin on the other side of the map makes my game look like a highschool slide show presentation?

Go into the match with either a very specific plan like finding the 3 closest gens and protecting them, or just go with the flow with no expectation of victory. I find just reacting to what I see and not caring about what they do on gens allows me to bring a wide variety of perks that are not generator-focused. Blood points and having fun is what I am trying to do in the killer role.

My Survivor queues have been shorter with MMR queues and my Killer queues have been longer.
