A change for 'We're Gonna Live Forever' that discourages toxic gameplay

Change to We’re Gonna Live Forever:

You can get a maximum of 8/9/10 tokens. Each token gives you 10% more Bloodpoints post-trial.

Following actions give you one token:

• Completing a generator by yourself

• If someone else completes a generator

• Opening an exit gate

• Unhooking someone

• Healing someone for one health state

• Bodyblocking while the killer is carrying a survivor

• Rescuing a survivor from the killer’s grasp

• Stunning the killer

• Escaping the killer if a chase has been going on for at least 15 seconds without getting hit

Escaping the trial gives you 3 tokens of WGLF

In addition to more bloodpoints, you unhook survivors 30/40/50% faster

Reasons for this change: Survivors usually get a lot less additional bloodpoints post-trial than killers and “farm” people off of hooks because that’s the easiest way to get WGLF stacks right now. The suggested changes to this perk would discourage farming people. It would also reward doing other important mechanics of the game such as doing objectives, juking the killer, etc and not only saving teammates.

Making it easier to get tokens but increasing the maximum number of tokens would give survivors extra bloodpoints more consistently.

Get rid of the unhook faster and that would make it viable.

Why? BBQ also has an additional effect to its BP gain. The increased unhook would not even be a big deal unless you want to counter a facecamper. So I think it would be neat.

I like these changes but I would rather have an overall BP increase if the grind is too hard. I'll have to agree that BBQ gives the killer more BP on average than the survivors equivalent WGLF because the killer gets tokens for doing their objective. The survivor gets tokens for getting unhooks which is their objective but you are competing with other survivors so you won't get every unhook.

This is why WGLF needs a BP buff. The unhook speed is good and I don't see how this can be a nuisance to the killer role so it can stay.

Yeah I think survivors should get more BP in general but adressing WGLF and making it easier to get double BP is a first step in the right direction imo.

So rushing the gens (regardless which survivor will do what) and getting out will be a 80% increase?
Not sure if intended but thats whats gonna happen.

It's intended because the game is about teamwork and if someone gets chased they can't do gens and miss out on a lot of points. I think jukers should be rewarded more. Also, just rushing gens won't give you a lot of BP in the first place so the increase wouldn't matter that much.

Also, if a killer has trouble downing and hooking survivors they can't get a single stack of WGLF so this change will help as well to get stacks.

Survivors can always rush gens if they want to regardless of perks.

I don't mind the idea on making it more open to other survivor actions.

However the ones you outlined seem to make to a bit too easy to get all the tokens... Basically... Any gen that is done, 5 tokens... and 3 for escaping.. you got 8 just for making it out.

Otherwise not a bad idea though.

Maybe not the speed of unhooking. Just the bp bonus.

TBH the BBQ and WGLF bonus points parts of the perk should be passive to all players anyways, they shouldn't even be a perk.

I like the added unhook speed bonus, because WGLF really needs a 2nd function and this isn't gamebreaking but still fits the perks theme.

This seems like too many tokens/ways to earn them though.
I'd say keep it at 4 tokens but let them get earned with SAFE unhooks, taking a hit while bodyblocking, healing 1 health state, getting a 'killer grasp escape' score (from flashlight/pallet/firecracker) or 1 token per escaped survivor while you're still alive/in game.
Also have it lose a token if it is an unsafe unhook.

This would have the new ways to earn the tokens all still fit within the WGLF theme of protecting others/getting everyone out alive, increase the likelihood of actually getting all tokens (but not guaranteeing it) compared to now where bodyblocking only sometimes gives one out, while also discourage things like hook farming.

Want less toxic WGLF plays? Now that we have "Safe Unhook" points event, change WGLF to gain tokens on that. EZ

Getting points for someone else completing a gen doesnt seem very balanced. You could literally go swf with good players and just hide in a corner getting points doing nothing. Remove that idea and this could be really nice.

So not doing anything but escaping gives you 80% bonus points.
Uhh yeah, not unbalanced at all...

How about you only get a token after a SAFE unhook. Problem solved.

Nice idea, but have either just one or zero tokens for escaping. A gen-rush team could escape and that'd be eight tokens already. The unhook speed is a nice bonus to punish campers, and to make a swift getaway. Other than reducing tokens for escaping, I see no problem with this.
