Ughhh.
I'm a killer main, switch from a few different killers to keep it exciting. I genuinely come on this game for a good time, and always have done. But recently, since the popularity of DBD has risen due to tiktok, I'm finding that more and more survivors are becoming toxic. Body blocking, begging for killers to make it easy and let them win? Expecting killers NOT to go after survivors they have previously hooked? What happened to the brutality? To the fun? Now, you have two survivors body blocking the hook and the other shining a torch in your damn eyes whilst you're trying to at least get a hook. I always try and go easy on survivors, but god, when they do crap like this, it's infuriating. And yet, when us killer mains do one slight thing it's TOXIC and tunneling and camping? What a load of rubbish. Have fun and stop being sensitive.

Wow.
Thank you.. Got the whole crowd laughing.

Body blocking is good for you, means they're not working on gens and you get some free injures, maybe even a down if they get particularly cocky.

You're problem seems to be that you care about going easy on survivors. The object is to win, not to make friends. Do what you have to do to win but realize it's just a game. Survivors will definitely do everything they can to win.

I never thought about that. TikTok ruined this game.

I'd rather just refuse to engage. Stealth killer so they get no points from terror radius, no hooks, no injuries, kick the door open, deny people as many blood points as you possibly can. And when they try to wait out the EGC to give you a pity kill, you dc at the last second. The individual actions of people will not change the situation. So, way i figure it, our best option is to make the problem worse. Force it to be addressed.

He's got a point my dude. Practice what you preach. Ignore the "toxic" gameplay and just have fun with the game

Body blocking and blinding isn't toxic. Being toxic means clicking, tbagging, and saying GG EZ.

Okay so I missed those out. I keep getting survivors that do all of the above, combined with ganging up and taking turns blinding me whilst I'm trying to hook, whilst also blocking the hook and teabagging. So yeah, I think that is pretty toxic.

What makes the first things you mentioned toxic in your eyes?

Read and you'll see what I put.

I read what you said, and reread it. They body block you and blind you, and you have a problem with that. Why are those things toxic to you? What does the word toxic mean for you?

Why you being so ######### patronising?

not sure that stuff's toxic, but I had no idea tiktok was so helpful. nice.

I don't mean to come across that way...I am asking what you mean when you say toxic because people have different interpretations of it, as this guy made pretty evident:
The things you and he both mention are things that some people will end up doing regardless, and I feel you should be aware of that, and it won't help your experience to complain about it when it happens. I'm not trying to say "get over it" either, because I don't like those things either. I'm just saying that they're just thing that people will inevitably do and it would help you to think about them differently or ignore them entirely lest they drive you mad and make you want to quit the game.

Being altruistic or efficient or using items isn't toxic though. It's the behavior and the attitude that's toxic. If people all 4 get out because they abused BT and body blocked and blinded and all that, I'll be mad, but fair game to them because they didn't throw out an EZ. But when they abuse the power role that they have, and use it to say that you're a bad player rather than being humble, then that's toxic. I'll have friends who think the way you do, who go against a killer who never shook their head, camped, or tunneled, but hear it from them and they'll say, "That killer played like a b*tch. They're braindead." There's nothing constructive about that kind of negative feedback at all. It's literally just, "I lost and I'm mad, so my opponent must have done something wrong."

Make you say Ughhh
nah nah nah nahhh.

I legit used to get mad at survivors putting up any offering, whether it BP offerings, which I took as them being cocky, or luck offerings, which I always responded to with "y'all have enough luck already!". It was so silly. If people would just be constructive and not think "everyone's out to ruin my day" when going against people who clearly aren't, there's way less frustration and more room for self-reflection.

I agree with this mostly, but it's hardest to do this in situations of things like killers tunneling and camping survivors.
