The continued blind eye towards the hacking epidemic is a slap in the face to legitimate customers
I encounter hackers every time I play. I see them on both sides. Toolbox repair speeds with no toolbox, survivors disappearing through the floor, speed hacks, wall hacks on killer, etc. I log in for 3 games today and get hackers in two of them. And every time we bring it up, we're told the onus is entirely on us to jump through hoops to fill out a report. Fill out the form, get video evidence, submit, etc. Yeah, I'll just set aside 10-15 minutes to do your job for you.
Do the devs understand or give a (censored) as to how how unplayable this game is for high MMR players right now? I lean towards the latter. Hackers are paying customers to them and they're content to milk them for new accounts every time they ban one. So many friends of mine at a similar skill level barely play the game anymore because of the frequency with which we encounter hackers. But hey, as long as new players have a good experience with MMR and buy those sweet DLCs. That's all that matters, right?

I feel you.
But believe me, as a new player (48h), the MMR gives you NOT a good experience....it is so bad, that i uninstalled the game today.

The fact we need to fulfill a report with video evidence to get someone banned is a joke. That's something you would see in a very indie game, which DBD isn't since Halloween chapter. You're spending 10-15 minutes of your time reporting just for them to buy a new account for 2 bucks the next day.
Is the game that buggy that you can't implement an autoban feature for someone who uses hatchets as Ghostface? Or who speed hacks at Blight speed while slugged? Counter Strike had that back in 2002, almost 20 years ago! Meanwhile we're stuck with a system that "might impede you from entering the game", as I saw a mod commenting.

Yeah fill out a report for 15 minutes to get a single out of their multiple accounts banned. Not to mention they can have another account in less than 10 minutes for less than $5. The problem is only so big because they run on an outdated version of EAC and coded their game so poorly that they basically have to re-write the code to port it to a relevant version of EAC.

There's not much proactive we can do about it, which is sad
There's a few things we can do to avoid cheaters/precautions we can take but none of them are 100% foolproof
