There needs to be more value to winning as killer
As it stands just simple bloodpoints and getting 4 kills isn't enough. You're barely rewarded considering you're forced into ranked mode with potentially competitive players. If I'm going to care about winning or even playing more at the very least there could be some additional reward like cosmetics you can only get based on how high your MMR is, assuming we can actually see our rating at some point in the future.
As it is right now "Winning" at least as killer feels more like a punishment, at least to me, than as a reward. I don't get to see my rating on either side, so what's the point in taking the game seriously, even supporting it by buying new content, when the end result to winning a match doesn't mean jack.
Anything in this game that you could say rewards you, like the archives, the rift, or the rituals, mostly reward you for just playing the game.
Right now I usually purposefully give the last survivor hatch or gate if I end up doing well in the match to mitigate the MMR boost I get. And admittedly it's easier to take losses now due to winning now feeling more like a punishment.
I play this game way less and take longer breaks either due to this type of frustration or I'm just flat out bored with it. I would love to enjoy this game more in larger doses, but not when winning feels so bad and losing is only slightly easier to take.
Yea, technically this game has no real win condition so it's more on you, but I use "win" in a general sense, because the main objective as killer is to... well... kill. So... why should I feel like I'm being punished for doing exactly what the game is telling me to do?
You don't have to remove MMR, just make winning or getting kills actually feel rewarding again.
Oh yea and as an aside, I also advocate for survivors having the same MMR rewards as well, as similar issues apply in terms of escapes, but I feel like the issue is exacerbated as killer since it's 1 person against 4 others.

I just want a charm or cosmetic that tells people im high mmr so i feel like my suffering was actually worth it :L

Lol? Why are killers such special snowflakes that they would need to be rewarded more even after winning the game?

I am once again reminding you all that the MMR system is not a progression system and there should be no expectation of reward nor incentive to get max points in it.
It's just for matchmaking. Some more rewards for playing consistently would be pretty great, but that concept is completely divorced from the MMR system.

Even if that's the case, it does feel like it is actively punishing you for playing well, regardless of its intention.
We know it exists and what it does and hiding the rating doesn't change that.
And what the game rewards you for is not for skill, but for time played, which isn't enough to be worth it anymore. If you're calling it "skill based matchmaking", at least give us something to acknowledge this supposed "skill." Otherwise it isn't worth the frustration of getting good at the game as the fun of the gameplay itself starts wearing thin.

It's already generally easier to farm BP as killer. I say this as a killer main. I mean you can end a game with 0 kills and still have near 30k BP. While I see survivors win at just around 20k a lot of the time.
Imagine how much uproar there would be if they added more rewards that not everyone can get. These forums are already full of people complaining about pretty much everything. It would just add more of that complaining from people that think they're better than they are.

Mmr is not a progression system nor is it in any way a full indicator on how good you are.
All it does is try to bring an equilibrium to the number of deaths and escapes in a match.
Nothing more, nothing less
Grades are the extra rewards you get for winning.

2nd time I've seen a response like this. Thinking MMR is a bigger problem for this game than I thought because I don't think it does bring equilibrium to kills/escapes.
It just made getting 0 kills more frustrating and getting 4 kills less fulfilling. And my rates of wins to losses or breaking even with 2 kills really hasn't changed, only the means survivors and killers bring with them either to win or meme.
Point still stands. If they're sticking with it, might as well try to alleviate some of the frustration. Getting rewarded just for time played isn't enough.

You guys should try playing for fun rather than for winning.

Winning isn't everything but losing on a regular basis does get boring and discouraging after awhile, even in a party game like this. So yea I do like winning every now and then. I also don't like feeling punished for winning, hence the topic.
