Stop banning hackers.
Oh wait. You are not even doing this. My bad. Nice job so far.

Everytime i browse these forums it further pushes me away from coming back to this game. Kinda glad.

So I assume the only bannable thing in this game is a DC? Lmao

Why do they not allow us to block certain killers from our games? Seriously it is no fun to see the same killers abusing the game over and over.-

As soon as I max out the rift levels I'm taking another break again.
The rubadub? I'm less than a month back from my last 2-3 month hiatus where I skipped the last rift entitrely.

and if you use cosmetic bugs to break sets. Thats a no-no. Hackings all good though, they're great for their bottom line with the accounts they buy.

I mean, if you properly report people, they get clapped. Can't expect support to ban players if you don't provide clear video or photo evidence... it's not like they save recordings of matches like CS:GO does, sadly.

You guys are pretty easily bateable it would seem.
Hackers clearly hate bhvr and enjoy the community hating on them, what better way to do that than say they never get banned, I can assure you they are banned, but when the game is £2 and it makes people this angry why not do it every couple of weeks?
2 -
I don't recall anyone getting banned for that

Oh ho ho. I was about to pull out my Nokia 3310 ready to strike you down. Close one

Damn, bro. Did you just split a locked outfit so you could have a different hairstyle? That's 13 years in Gulag.

The cheater *MIGHT* get clapped, though we usually can't even know that when they hide everything, my additional thoughts being...
- I actually consider the circumstances of their real in-game report system being 90% useless as incredibly damning of them rather than saying much about players who fail to follow up out of game with that greater time/evidence commitment, especially when BHVR's behavior gives them reasons to doubt their time investment will be worth it.
- Its kinda ironic (and certainly amazing) that the in-game report system is a placebo doing absolutely nothing in most cases yet simultaneously its this mandatory and essential component of the actual off-site report that might elicit any action, Without that filler report that's otherwise filed away, all the proof in the world is totally meaningless for the second report. (because I guess they can't confirm you & this person & this other person all really played this match at this time for whatever reason without that???)
- In the past I've provided irrefutable, irredeemable video evidence of a cheating (alongside bullying that itself warranted a temporary ban at least, though doubtfully would've been punished) and personally had to follow-up with another complaint 2 weeks later after realizing that person was still playing, despite an increasing number of comments calling them out on their profile and presumably other reports as well.
- Still, I don't know what their ACTUAL punishment was, or whether it was worth my time, as BHVR refuses to disclose any details even though that would both encourage good reports and discourage cheaters thinking they can get away with it.
- Their rationalizations for not making justice public might even float if they had a modicum of public trust secured, but clearly their lack of disclosure and follow-through only suggests a convenient smokescreen to obscure both a lack of meaningful action and the true extent of the issues.
Yar. Quite the messy situation.

Because it has nothing to do with killers… it’s the PLAYERS using cheats.
1 -
The thing with that is, No matter what. you can family share and just hop back straight into dbd...
So what's the point of reporting at that point? That and bhvr Never even tells you that they banned em,
The last report someone made against a hacker took three weeks.... THREE. not one day, not two...
BUT THREE WEEKS IN TOTAL

Could this increasingly widespread issue suggest another systemic problem alongside BHVR's other lapses at securing a proper gaming atmosphere?
"No. It's haterz. And--as we all know--haterz gunna hate."

Lmao nice

Reporting hackers is honestly....worthless in my experience. Took them two weeks to reply to my report lmao so the hacker is doing whatever they wanted in that time frame.

They used to respond my reports within a few days on the rare occasion I encountered a cheater, that was a long time ago. After this recent bout of cheating they haven't responded to a single one of my cheater reports, so I just stopped making them

I don't need to report to know they give a ######### about reports

The day DBD gets anti-cheat will be the same day that Ubisoft learns that gun recoil won't nerf the gun it only makes it less fun to use

Just allow yourself to not care for the current rift, and don't play.
Even if there are skins you like in the rift, they'll probably be available on the store at some point anyway cause BHVR like money

you got me, hahaha. I was like "what ridiculous argument will he have?

only if you do it wrong

And saying mean things in endgame chat. That's bad PR for them, because it extends to outside the games sphere of influence.

I opened thinking it was going to be a troll post, instead I got a bang on the money commentary. Well played!

I had a great match with a hacking survivor while I played trickster. This Nea (who I recorded/reported) could repeatedly insta recover from the downed state AND made it somehow to where I couldn't pick them up. I didn't care what the other survivors did once i discovered this person, I just kept downing them, theyd recover, I would down them again, they would insta recover again. Funny part was, the other survivors noticed this hacker and stopped tryin to win. They just gathered around and watched me repeatedly downing the hacker until they just rage quit...then the other survivors let me kill them and at the end stated how they enjoyed the show. One of the other survivors also recorded and reported so...hopefully that becomes one less waste of oxygen in the game.

Developer bans on steam also apply to any family shared accounts.
0 -
If that's the case.. i should be banned on my alt account then,
But guess what =D,
0 -
Even if they did hackers could just unban themselves.
Yes hackers can do that. I'm not joking.

Just as a reminder that there is a streamer who has recorded themselves visibly hacking as both Survivor and Killer, and they still have not been banned. "Devs Don't Care" I think it was called?
8 hour stream, I've even heard of a 12 hour stream from them. You'd never expect it to be true, but those words are 110% accurate. The devs... don't care.

This is incorrect. Notorious hackers like Cardi B are still in the game and have been reported MUTLIPLE times. Hell they post their own videos as proof they exist. They know they are untouchable.

The thing is... the charms and FOMO are still a thing.

All I said is that people falling for the "I've never been banned" are gullible, the hacking is absolutely an issue but way to take what i said out of context to make it seem like I'm shilling for BHVR or that it's a lesser issue.

Lol yes I saw that streamer. Ridiculous

Hackers in my flawless game? Impossible

I went against a hacking Spirit a month or so ago. It wasn't super blatant, but I had the misfortune of somehow going against him 2 games in a row (there might have been one game in between, idr) and I was absolutely convinced he was hacking- enough for me to clip both matches in their entirety and report in-game. The other survivors who stuck around for post game chat were a bit divided- some were also convinced they were hacking, others thought they perhaps were just really good. A couple of very recent comments on their profile had people praising them as a GODLIKE player. But while I've been against some incredibly good players (random talented no-names, people with thousands of hours, top level streamers, etc), even they made mistakes here and there. This Spirit had zero tracking perks and even had on the add ons that made it so they couldn't see scratch marks while phase walking. My guess was that they, at the very least, had auras on for survivors, or something like that, because they did not miss a single swing out of phase, no matter where you were on the map, before you ever got injured, etc. They ALWAYS knew where everyone was at all time, with no tracking or aura perks. They didn't even have Stridor.
The weirdest part was that it wasn't just some random burner account- while you guys most likely wouldn't recognize his name, he associates with a lot of smaller streamers and has been a part of plenty of DBD teams- my point being, he seems to take the game seriously enough that I was second guessing whether he was cheating, based solely on how I couldn't understand how he would want to risk losing his DBD account over hacks and cheats.
In any case, I told the other survivors to report, and I went to all the trouble to report him fully- on both matches. I never got an email back, but I saved the link to his profile- and sure enough, a couple of weeks later when I checked, I saw that he had a recent temporary ban on his account. In his bio, he made up an excuse for why he got the ban (something unrelated to cheating, lmaoo)- but I was satisfied knowing the real reason he got banned and that BHVR actually took action on his account.
