Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

Far more totems should spawn per match, and killers should be able to destroy blank totems.

With the advent of boon totems, and hex perks both being in the game, i feel that more totems should spawn on maps.

Totems should also be destroyable by killers, for bloodpoints, much like a survivor's boon totems can be destroyed. this would function just like destroying hexe's as survivors, stopping them from placing boons back down, and just giving a small bloodpoint bonus. (Stomping once to remove a boon, stomping a second time to remove a totem, so theres a small time investment if the killer wants to stomp out a position.)

This would allow survivors to more easily complete totem archives if they go hunting for them as well. the opportunity for killer totem archives would also be there.

On top of this change, i would like to suggest some killer hex's being reapplyable, much like some survivor boons (ie hexe's with weaker effects, or effects that don't effect the entire match.) - on top of this, with hex's that could possibly be reapplied, they should be reapplyable ontop of boon totems, with a greater time investment, (just like removing hex's via blessing)

5 totems on maps feels a bit small these days, expecially when everyone can have a totem related perk, and they can be easily destroyed preventing others from getting archives etc. boosting that up to 10, or even having one spawn in every applicable location would not be unfair in my eyes.

TLDR : More totems spawning per match, killer ability to destroy totems, possibly killer ability to reapply hex's with particular hex's.

I wouldn't go with reapply hex.

But we definetly need more spawns and mainly more hidden.

If there is more spawns, I think it would be fair if killer could destroy them, if he has time for it.

I don't want killers to reapply totems or have more dull ones.

Only thing is necessary is to make boons one time use only so it's power varies from how actually good use u give to it. Survivors should stop rely on it and spam all over but instead should think through game and place it when they actually need it. It will be fair skillcap perk that shows how actually good u are, and won't be abused as it is now.

Do you want to be forced to board Noah's arc to avoid the survivor main tears by buffing NOED to that extreme?

Riiiight... I carefully think and place one down, two seconds later one survivor (or two! today I saw two survivors in one match do it!) runs the killer over and points at the boon repeatedly, and that's the end of that. Why would anyone ever run a perk that your teammates can (with total finality) grief you out of two seconds later. At least right now when they do that I can place a new one.

Being a one-time use would take away the best way to play DbD: ignore gens completely and go in circles around the map blessing totems over and over again. Maxes out Boldness points pretty quickly, and it's a totally ridiculous thing to do. Woo! (Nah, I never actually get to do this. I'm a killer magnet, they always somehow find me even if I'm miles away from any gen.)

If killers gain the ability to remove totems from play entirely then I think adding a few more totems is fair.

Could benefit both sides really, survivors still get to use their boons multiple times, but killers could also have more bones for plaything and noed.

I find the point of boon totems was go add a secondary goal so one or more players have to take breaks from doing gens to find and activate the totems.

Ive found this is my first thing to do in a match now and sometimes it can take a while. Matches are taking longer which is good. Having more totems would pretty much make that redundant.

I think a better system would be to remove the ability to destroy the totems (why survivors still do it to dull totems when they have a Mikaela on the team baffles me) but killers should be able to to re hex a totem just like survivors can rebless them.

This should make Ruin a more worthwhile perk for killers, would be fairer across the board and increase the secondary objective count.

Noed would be the only outlier with newer totems being brought in - that or dull totems being made considerably faster to break - akin to a killers stomp.

Pretty much yeah. They can rekindle their boon totems up to 10 times with my new system, (spread across the 4 survivors,) unless the killer smashes all of them excluding their own possible hexes. Plus a survivor wouldn't know if you had actually detsroyed a totem unless they check, so if they want to put it in the exact same place they'd have to run all the way back only for it to be possibly broken
