Why do you think The Cenobite is overperforming
In my opinion the only addon wich needed a nerf was the fang. the rest is completely fine.
what do you think about the changes

Because he's a unique killer that has existed all of 2 months and it takes time for people to learn how to face a killer. Stats from the first two months are worthless but I'm not shocked behavior is interpreting statistics at face value. They love statistics but refuse to hire anyone who has actually earned a degree in statistics.

Because his passive is the worst thing ever for SoloQ.
As usual SoloQ gets shafted good and deep while SWF eat steak and lobster.
51 -
Because solos. That's literally why, it's because of solos.
39 -
It's is Add-ons which got nerfed. Mainly the ones which were used with Franklin's and Hoarder to make solving the LC as hard as possible.
His balance pass will probably come next Mid Chapter.

I don't think he is. I think BHVR is flat out lying and just doing whatever they want. I hardly ever see anyone playing Pinhead. When I do it's almost always a 4k escape. There is no chance that he is "over performing".
10 -
He is?
0 -
It's rubbish.
This is yet another massive nerf for the sake of low level play without any consideration for intermediate/high level viability. Cenobite was already mid-tier at best.
That said, I can't think of any occasion where BHVR has changed an impending nerf based on forum feedback, so...yeah. I guess Cenobite is about to become another one of those killers that basically nobody plays.
12 -
Because people see him and instantly stop trying. I know some people like that, they hate him and give or dc sometimes.
2 -
I have an intensive job and I haven't read on this. Is he getting a nerf? Direction to where I can read on it would be appreciated.

people do that to me when i play non-campy bubba, does that mean bubba should be a 105 killer with insidious basekit?
1 -
I believe he outperforms at low ranks due to his passive pressure, new players can't handle him and experienced players will obliterate him. IMO his power is terrible. Bhvr had to design a killer that would have pressure despite the horrendous huge maps and came with this poor design, instead of fixing said problems and creating a good killer. They probably made that useless chain skill and though "you know what? It's just not strong enough, he needs some kind of slowdown!". Thus, Cenobite was born.
You would think that they would have learned something about huge maps by now (I'm looking at you, red forest), but they outdone themselves with yet another huge map! Now they have to compensate this by tweaking killer's powers instead of maps.
2 -
BHVR would have no need to lie, they can just do changes if they want to. They can also make him 4.4m/s without any reason.
6 -
His Power literally gives the Survivors a "fail" condition if they don't go and pick up the box.
Unlike The Pig, who puts something on, how do I get it off. There's just an Aura in the match for the box, not quite as easy to connect the dots for new players.
7 -
I honestly laughed out loud when I read the patch notes. I have said multiple times Hoarder/Franklin Cenobite was terible for Solo but nerfing his add-ons make me laugh. let's keep helping the bots while shitting on your long-term players with skill.
5 -
Your average killer player, aka face camping Bubba, cant play Pinhead so that's why pinheads kill rate is 70%. Only people who put in serious practice and persevered through the humiliation still play him.
4 -
this game loses killer players every chapter

Overperforming and fun to play against aren't the same thing, but both are taken into consideration when it comes to making changes. Freddy wasn't reworked because he was strong. Many players don't enjoy playing against Pinhead. Solving the box and dealing with the chain hunt at the same time is extremely annoying, as is the Hoarder/Franklin's box chaser build.
Not even remotely true. It has been datamined that there are generally far more killers in queue at high MMR than survivors.
5 -
Its because survivors cannot handle a secondary objective, so once you apply any second objective pressure at all they mostly crumble apart through the mismanagement of time.
8 -
This. SoloQ is just so bad right now.
7 -
-
All BHVRs fault and they dont care.
They could implement opt in voice chat or develop a ping system but nah.
Its baffling because this greatly hampers killer design. We could have awesome and more complex killers if the game was designed with SWF in mind.

Let me tell you, I read a post, which told how the box spawns in the beginning of the match and how it'll spawn everytime. Far away from my and about 16m away from survivors.
I tried running the build Lethal Pursuer, Ruin, Undying and BBQ with the two slowdown solve add ons. At the beginning I'd use Lethal to see survivors and use that information to see where the box will spawn. Solve it and they won't be able to do gens/totems due to chainhunt. If someone tries to solve it, I use my power to stop them. If I hook someone while chainhunt is active, then I can use BBQ information to figure out where the box spawned, due to survivor placement. Endless chainhunt + ruin and undying, makes it tough to progress the game.
On small maps, this setup is horrible to play against. Think I've only lost once using this built and it was on RPD.

Thank god he's getting nerfed, less people paying for NFT head the better.
Also, with his box duration add ons being nerfed, he's easily one of the worst now, and due to his noobstomping ability he seems "good" in the statistics.
3 -
Just à nerf to 3 of his most used/best add ons
And à buff to 2 of his worst ones
1 -
So because randoms are having a hard time the cenobite must never be viable against a swf? (Which he isnt anyway)
0 -
I take offense to calling Chatterer bad.
It's simply an overshadowed Alternate Playstyle addon. Think of it like Vanity /ScratchMirror or something.
Now that the good stuff is nerfed you might see it more.
0 -
His passive should be nerfed and he shouldn't be able to break his own chains. Without his passive he is the worst Killer in the game
0 -
To be honest
12 sec of undetectable for loosing all the chain hunt building isnt that strong
Its situationnaly good like infinite T1 Myers but it wasnt that strong (and i played it)
0 -
im confused. You said without his passive he's the worst killer in the game but his passive needs to be nerfed? Did i read that wrong?
I do agree he shouldnt break his own chains.
2 -
I think if he didn't break his own chains he wouldn't be the worst. Buff his chains and nerf his passive.
0 -
It's because his power hardcore stomps randoms, especially the infinite chain hunt build combined with RuinDying, and Big Data:tm: was showing he was overperforming and/or the amount of complaints make them want to nerf the build without killing the synergy between Hoarder/Franklin's and the Box.
1 -
That has nothing to do with how many people play killer. There are more killers in high MMR because it's much more consistent to gain points as opposed to survivor where there's so many more variables that influence whether you die or escape a lot.
4 -
What? 5 nerfs and 1 buff.
0 -
#1 cause is dumb survivors making horrible decisions
#2 cause solos can't communicate and all run for the box at the last moment
0 -
He is not wrong, though. Lament Configuration carries him.
1 -
You dont run it for the stealth.
Its value comes from seeing the box 24/7, and being able to reveal survivors on Command.
0 -
Soloqs can not do gens, let alone play around the cube.
1 -
I dunno, i didnt care to read it that much more tbh just remembered q fiew in the lot
0 -
Probably because the game is full or trash survivors and you can get stuck in low mmr because your skill means nothing if your team doesn't do generators.
I can already tell you don't play killer beyond a friendly daily since you are talking about the fun of survivors while ignoring the killers fun.
1 -
I don't think Pinhead is over performing at all. I've maybe faced him a total of 4 times since it debuted in September.
Not a lot of people are actually playing him in ranked matches so the fact that it's being said he's over performing is a lie.
1 -
Honestly all he needs is a nerf on engineer's fang and a buff to chatterers tooth and I think he's in a good spot really. To those saying Pinhead isn't solo queue friendly, eh. It's really not that bad, basement bubba is far more detrimental to solo queue than pinhead ever could be.
3 -
Pinhead's nerf is a giant question mark. I mean, sure, I get the nerf to Engineer fang. I think it didn't need changing, but I know why it happened (everyone complained about it). The rest was just ######### territory. "Bringing the top 5 add-ons in line." AKA bringing them in line with the other non-purple add-ons that are actual garbage, and they literally just halved all of the effects. It's actually comical. Larry's remains is now brought down to the level of the current liquified gore. New liquified gore now delays the solving by a whole second on a 6 second timer, oh what a great add-on! The only non-purple add-ons they didn't nuke are his A. Range add-ons, which only serve to interrupt the box at best. B. His Cool-down addons. C. His turn rate add-ons. So, make no mistake, what they actually meant was "any add-on that can effect Pinhead's performance in a remotely positive way gets its effects halved."
5 -
Engineer's Fang should be base kit, not nerfed. Chain Hunt is the only thing that makes Pinhead decent, otherwise his Possessed Chain is straight up worse than Clown's intoxication bottle.
3 -
It might not be a lie. He may be overperforming at the mid-level. What clearly is a lie is that they look to the top 5% of players for their performance testing "Wraith is a wee bit OP" after all. Either that, or they really do look at the top 5% of killer players, but don't make sure that they only look at data where they verse the top 5% of survivors.
0 -
Its the later. They ignore the survivors that the killers get and only focus on the kills the top 5% get.
I still get a mixed bag with my survivors where some will be a cakewalk and others i may as well afk.
1 -
Pinhead's controlled chains are control terribly, slow him way down, deliver incredibly limited value even if you DO hit, and can be completely negated by bad RNG spawns. They're simply awful. His real power was the chain hunt. By nerfing the majority of addons that make his chain hunt actually have a chance of going off at least once in a match, they have effectively nerfed him quite a bit.
Not a fan.
3 -
Rarely anyone plays him now. I barely face him. BVHR doesn't play their game. they just look statistics and just make killer unplayable. He is like worst killer entire game now with no ability.
His passive will never activate, this was his only saving grace. 4vs1 slowdown. His chains are worse than not using it. Worst 1vs1 in the entire game. All his good add-ons are garbage now. The only add-on that gave him his chain ability worth using was engineer fang and now it decimates his power and makes it worse than Legion.
BVHR doesn't balance for high-level. they balance for low-level. their basic procedure for balance is look at killer killrates, look at pick-rates of the killer add-ons, nerf add-ons. that's how BVHR does things. little to zero consideration killers gameplay.
classic bvhr, he is best designed licensed killer in the game. 10/10 design, 0/10 balance.

Where?
Just spent a good 10 minutes looking for this, and I'm not seeing anything.
No, it's just bad. Even 30 seconds isn't much, and survivors will hear your terror radius on the way to it and scarper. Tried to make it work and it just...doesn't.
The buffs won't make the worst ones better. The nerfs (usually in region of a ridiculous 50%!) make his useful ones mostly worthless and bland.
Sigh. At least the new killer looks pretty dope. A pity, because I really liked Pinhead as is. I regularly got pooped on by good survivors - he really wasn't that strong. Barely even 'B' tier.
3 -
Pinhead is like Pig. He's a weak killer, but he has a mechanic that baby players don't understand that they need to prioritize, and so they die in droves to it, artificially inflating his kill rates.
Pinhead can't hold up to skilled or coordinated survivors, but to the kind that go "what does that skull mean and why won't my teammate let me heal them?" when NOED goes off don't have any idea what that square is supposed to be, much less that they should go touch it (or they might be mildly more knowledgeable and know what it is, but go "ew, no, if I do that then the killer is going to teleport to me, let someone else do it"), and then the chain hunt goes off, nobody can stop getting stabbed long enough to end it because they don't know how to bodyblock or seclude themselves, nobody can do gens, and they all die. Just like how Pig gets loads of trap kills because of players that stop and heal after a hook and only think to check out a box when their heads are already 75% of the way to exploding.
These killers will never be balanced as long as BHVR keeps factoring in noob ranks as worthwhile data.
5 -
Because people just DC and suicide when they play against the annoying chains guy, thus bumping his kill rate.
