Hacker problem continues to rage on
Just started my morning with a cup of coffee and two hackers in a row, popping gens instantly and healing downed survivors from afar instantly. What a wonderful game Dead by Daylight has become. I begin to get Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 flashbacks, a game I quit because of cheater problems the devs ignored to fix.
If only there was an efficient way to report these cheaters, I would not mind as much getting them in my game so often because at least I would have a way to combat and punish them for their cheats, but no, BHVR is either ignoring the problem completely or making very slow progress on implementing a new method to report cheaters.
If I were you BHVR, I would make this my number one priority to improve because the hackers are not only having their way, they are ruining the image of the game, making it unappealing to new players and old ones as well.

Just remember only dud players hack. play your game and try to let it go. Hopefully they do get a report system for it though.

So the cheaters are "ruining the image of the game, making it unappealing to new players", and yet the playerbase continuously grows.

My strategy for hackers is the same for trolls. Ghost them. Make it boring for them

Until one of them decides to take the game hostage, and you'll have to eat the DC penalty.

Sorry. Not sure what you mean by hostage

They keep the game going, they can keep themself alive even after the end game collapse.

Oh thanks. Il be careful not to anger them in future.

Are they staying in the game to hold it hostage?

Thanks. Il keep it in mind

Boring is their middle name. These dudes will literally sit perfectly still for hours on end to keep you hostage in a match. Its not about fun for them, its about ruining other peoples experience.

there are tons of webpages selling accounts... now you understack why there are a lot of hackers

Of course, the game will grow, but the potential for greater growth is in fixing the cheater problem, and the lifespan of this game can turn in a blink of an eye if the cheater problem is left ignored for too long. How long is too long, only time will tell, but it is no shock that people are leaving the game because of cheaters. Don't you wish improvement on this?

Even this evening, just trying to enjoy my game and all I get is these subtle cheaters playing on increased movement speed like I don't notice they running at speeds barely noticeable but well enough for me to never catch them, always surprisingly far away after a blind corner, come on.

Ive discovered a new tactic . Once i realise i have a troll i pretend to have tech issue, walk in to an object twitch a freeze, make it look legit. then take the dc penalty. They dont get the satisfaction of thinking its a rage quit and i watch anime till penalty is done. Take care players

First game today, got into a lobby with 2 hackers that were at red rank 1. Versus a Hag. They had every hack imaginable, even making me look like a hacker because anytime the Hag hit me, I was insta healed. They brought flashlights to be even bigger douches. The anti-cheat is a joke.

I played three games over the weekend. Encountered hackers in 2 of the 3 games. They had instant heals and out of bounds hacks. I suspect they had toolbox repair speeds without a toolbox as well. I play less with each passing week.
Not to mention, DbD streamers are getting DDOS'd left and right since the PTB went live yesterday. A friend of mine had his modem bricked.
I've invested a lot of time in this game (well over 3k hrs) and it's something I'm passionate about, but BHVR has made it clear they care about $$$ and absolutely nothing else. They do not care about the vet experience at all. It's about new players and buying DLC. I have less than 10 hrs in the last 2 weeks and may just walk away for good.
