Switching off of ptb while its downloading

When you are downloading the ptb and switch off, it ends up where you missing some files.
I am on Pc.
I am still waiting for the download of files.
I found this out when the game would not load and after i validated my files. it said i was missing 14 files

I feel like i corrupted the stuff i bought

This is an issue when you download anything from anywhere. If you disrupt an already started download it can potentially corrupt the files that its downloading.
You can fix the issue with DbD by verifying the game files and it will download the ones that became corrupted or missed in the download.
