Boon totems are awful on the killers side. The healing one is getting very nasty.

boon totems are strong if you let them use them. you'll know whn one is active so play against it. simply put

The issue is when they are all the way in no mans land where if you would want to find them you'll lose gens.....I just ignore them and let them have their healing zone and protect a 3 gen location with my life

Circle of healing is a total waste of my time, I love my old ready to always use self care so I dont have to travel 5million miles to a boon to heal, yucky.

Boons on midwich are srupidly strong

To be fair I have no problem of Boons in Macmillan, Autoheaven, Coldwind.
Indoor maps like Game, Midwich, Racoon is ok since its hard to find totems on both side.
Swamp however. 2 totems That guarantee spawn under rocks that is no more a secret that bad for Hex. There is a totem spawn along the map boundaries. If Killer pays a min to take a lap around boundaries to find that Boon. Hes already lose the game

how the hell you want to stop them from using boons?
Problem is, you know there is boon, but you don't know if only 1 player use them, or more, you don't know if it is only 1 perk, or multiple...
It's hard to play around it, when your only info is there is boon somewhere on this huge map.
How do you play around it? Yeah, start to tunnel, enjoy

I have been saying it from PTB and nothing changed my mind so far.
CoH is broken for multiple reasons and best answer is just tunnel someone, which I don't think is good... Unlike other boon totems, you want just 1/2 survivors with it, that's how you get most value from it, stacking is not really that good.
Shadowstep is annoying, but it can get broken for SWF. 4x Shadowstep and RPD / Lery's offering + Map (everyone will see totems) is super painfull to deal with. Well, best answer is to camp someone, which I don't think is good...
That new Unbreakable will also be playable only for SWF, where you are going to have multiple of them. But RIP Oni / Twins if you play against that.

Yeah, theres 4 of you, so the waste of time is not that big...oh wait.
Its nice how noed always needed a nerf (or so it was claimed), because 4 players couldnt affort to do bones that are gone forever, but the one player has to do bones that can just be reblessed.

Shadow Step is the only boon that I dislike. Well, as a killer, obviously I love it as a survivor.

i see it as there only being 3 boons that you are able to guess and adjust to each without changing your play style too much.
kinda like DH, many players use it so you might wait a few seconds before hitting the surv to down them just in case.
so in this situation, you know there is a boon in play so you can probably guess which effect it has and play accordingly.

It's not that simple.
The scratches one isn't too bad, but CoH can be amazingly strong even if you know it's around.
It's so overwhelmingly strong against attrition based killers that you almost have to build to counter it every game, which is lame and boring (and probably not much fun for survivors either).
The major issues are:
- Healing effects stack too well with other healing effects, leading to almost instantaneous healing.
- It can be difficult to locate on some maps, and killers are always time starved as is.
- It can be instantly re-lit elsewhere.

All 4 survivors can have a boon. And I've seen boon sqauds who all have CoH. And will replace the boon the second you leave. And with the new unbreakable boon which would combine with coh or the others. Its going to be really unfun.
They should have a hefty cooldown at the very least if they continue giving them strong abilities...

This is actually very bad advice.
Let's say you have 4 boon totems in a perfect square, each 32m away from the other (which I think is a fair average distance between them). It will take a 4.6m/s killer 7 seconds to walk between boons at that rate.
Let's also assume that the killer knows exactly where each one is, and has a direct route to each one (very best case scenario for the killer).
Let's also say the killer spends 2-3 seconds? I'll say 3 seconds snuffing out a totem, just because the snuff prompts are hard to get sometimes.
Finally, we'll assume the killer starts at a boon and ignore their initial travel time to it.

Okay, so the killer snuffs out the first boon in 3 seconds. Survivors just got up to 12 seconds of generator repair time for free because of this activity because there's four survivors to one killer.
The killer then walks to the next boon, which takes 7 seconds, and spends another 3 seconds snuffing out the new boon, totaling 10 seconds to snuff out the second one. But now survivors just got up to 40 seconds of free generator repair time depending on what they're doing from that second boon alone, or up to 30 seconds of gen time and basically the re-establishment of the first boon totem if they were next to it already.
The killer then walks to snuff the third boon, which takes 10 seconds, which gives survivors another 40 potential seconds of free gen time or 30 + the re-establishment of a new boon.
This pattern will keep repeating indefinitely, and will never end.

Notice that the killer gains absolutely nothing from snuffing the boons, and basically loses half a generator worth of time for free every time he snuffs one out.
This is a losing battle, killers cannot win against this.
There is no end to this pattern, there is no end to the bones, and there is no reward to doing the bones.
The only thing you can really do is ignore boons, tunnel people to hell so that they can't use them even when they're active, and only ever even considering snuffing out a totem if it's literally right beside you randomly.

And then it gets about 1000x worse on indoor maps where boon totems affect more of the overall map and are harder to find.
It's incredibly stupid and overpowered.

As the person above mentioned, this doesn't always work.
Unless you can reliably and immediately locate the boon, it's very easy to waste more time snuffing it than survivors did lighting it. And 15 seconds of killer time is worth exponentially more than 15 seconds spent by one survivor.
This is particularly true of maps like The Game, where it's entirely possible for the boon you are looking for to be on the floor above or below you - you'll never find it.

Why are you arguing that killers should tunnel? Because that's what you're doing by saying killers should do the equivalent of a survivor doing bones.

You have one boon that counters hit&run + 3-gen -> CoH
then you have boon to counter slugging -> that new one
then you have boon that makes it harder to commit -> shadows step is only perk you can tell for 100%, because you just see it.
Only option how to play against that is to commit to each chase, which is not viable for most killers, so you just have to camp / tunnel to get pressure...

Boon Bones are infinite. Bubba will save us all.

Bubba and other instadown killers/builds soft-counter this, but wow do people hate playing against instadowns.
The good old cheesy NOED+NWO also works well.
I run Plaything on the majority of killers (I just really, really like this perk despite it being a bit meh) and this also helps with boons.

almost as if hexes are a-one-and-done but boons can be infinitely re-blessed

FYI - if all you get out of a boon is one heal, I agree with you. If you get your heal, and at least one other survivor also gets a heal, you've had a net benefit to time costs on the survivor side. 2+ heals is where CoH becomes valuable, not the first one.

Shadow Step doesn't bother me too much, especially when I'm not using aura perks. It just means I can't solely rely on scratch marks to find people, which is probably a good habit to be in anyway. Plus if it's hiding scratch marks there's a decent chance I'll be close enough to hear it and can snuff it out quickly.
I'm not saying it never has any effect, just I suspect Circle of Healing is more impactful.

Only problem I have with Boons is them being able to work on multiple floors, maps like Midwich, RPD and Gideon make them especially tedious

A few other tricks:
- Run Plaything with Retribution. It makes this pretty mediocre perk actually decent.
- Don't try to run Nurse's or Sloppy - these really don't do much against CoH. You'll turn a 4 second heal into a 5 second heal, and even if you see them healing you'll usually not get there in time.
- Don't snuff unless you know exactly where the thing is, or get lucky and spot it while patrolling. You'll almost always waste more time than you'll save.
- Avoid playing attrition killers for the time being, unless you love Wraith or something.

i think it's still pretty simple. it's just normal game play to win the chase against the injured survivor. you can be overwhelmed for sure. but best case you are not.

but my friend we mus think outside of the box. i have multiple experiences with and against the perk.
CoH increases healing. you can still hit multiple survs they'll just heal. as they normally would. i've 3 genned against CoH and won multiple times.
the slug one ony really matters if you leave them in the boon zone or let them crawl away. you can always re down anyways.
shadowstep is a hit or miss honestly.
i'd say you don't have to commit, but just make sure you know and what you cannot do.

It's huge difference if they are forced to spend time of two players to heal, or when everyone can self-heal.
3-gen depends on map / killer. Unless it's really good 3-gen where 2 of them are next to eachother, then you shouldn't win that unless you don't have like really good killer for it. Maybe they just didn't play against it correctly? At that point one mistake from them can cost them that game. Not that many survivors are willing to run into deadzone away from gens.
