Do you think Nemesis' face looks better or worse?
Do you think Nemesis has a better face design than he does in RE3R or do you think he looks better in that game? I ask because looking at it I can definitely see why someone might even prefer how DBD's looks even if I personally don't. Just an interesting thing to as I think.

I think his teeth look kinda stupid in DBD, every time I look at them all I can think of is piano keys because of how long they are

I like his jaw more in RE3R. The chin area gets pretty wide.

Sluzzy and TheDarkTyrant are the only two forum members I can accurately predict them as the OP correctly just by reading the title.

His DBD version is so cool. no less terrifying than the original.

Does OP mean Original Poster? I just kinda guessed that now since I've seen it used a lot and original poster fits the sentence people use it in. Anyways I see it as a good thing. It's fun.

Yes

My brain meats seem to be working today.

Could add screenshots from both games so people who haven’t played or paid too much attention can directly compare?

Thanks. Just did it.

Thx.
i gotta agree with the already mentioned piano teeth on the DbD version, not so nice. Otherwise both version look good imo. I guess in-game RE version will look better because… well DbD is DbD.

They should give nemesis the tyrant look thats in Into darkness i almost like it better. His design is a little more streamlined in dbd to probably account for them using a lower grade engine.

What?

better.

On the teeth, yeah they look goofy but I think the long teeth probably look way better than if he had more human teeth with this specific version of Nemesis.

I still think the squished nose, piano key teeth and cartoonishly pulled skin on the remake design ruins it.
OG Nemesis looked like an actual intelligent bioweapon - dangerous, cunning, much more human and strategic than other T-Virus mutants. The stitch on his eye, the general smoothness of the skin like he was lab-grown, the uniform leather coat and teeth bared in a snarl. He could even express emotion. Remake Nemesis looks like a regular tyrant wrapped in a garage bag, given twenty packs of steroids and smacked in the face with a sledgehammer.
He gives off much more of a "dumb brute" feeling with his general design and gameplay in the remake compared to the original, where Nemesis was a terminator-like intelligent pursuer; who would set up ambushes at random points and overwhelm Jill with tactics and his arsenal of weaponry rather than "brute force unga bunga punch punch punch on sight". Although that's more a problem with the remake than Nemesis himself, with how it turned Nemesis into Super Mr. X rather than retaining the original uniqueness of Nemesis. Pretty much all of Nemesis' "cool" moments in the remake are scripted near-cutscenes where he screams and mindlessly chases Jill. His gimmick was meant to be intelligence, adaptability and survivability - not the Hulk who uses a rocket launcher like, one time in the entire game.

This is what i was talking about mind you its from the show not a game still is a tyrant tho

I don't mind the new face. Although I saw some concepts that I think is a cool and actually creepy middle point. Like these. I actually like how the one in the middle looks.

Ehhh. He looks too... Human... If you get what I mean. Obviously not human but he has a clear face that isn't distorted and he can talk and basically has his human mind.

Yeah he showed the picture. I remember the show. Watched it all on the first day. I didn't really care for its Tyrant though.

DbD's Nemesis falls a little more on the human side of zombie soldier than REmake Nemesis, what with the slightly more defined facial features, eye area, and the eye itself having an iris of sorts rather than being completely white.
I like DbD's version well enough, and some aspects of it even more than REmake's, he looks cool. Although I think one kinda notable difference in "visual personality" between them is that DbD's seems a little more like an angry zombified human, whereas RE's Nemesis feels more like humanity merely glimpsing through a zombie shell, there's but a vague intelligence in those white eyes, and the "angry" and menacing appearance of his design seems more to be just a condition of him being a super-zombie, rather than an expression of human emotion. I think what most of all makes for that difference though is that RE-Nemesis' eye never conveys much emotion, whereas the more defined eye of DbD-Nemesis does. But that's of course not saying either of the two makes for a better design, both the idea of a human with a zombie soldier body as a weapon and lots of rage as well as that of a zombie soldier weapon with the barest amount of human intelligence embedded to bring that weapon to its purpose are plenty scary. Albeit the latter does fit in more with the original design philosophy behind Nemesis.
Either way, I think the model they made for the trailer is a cool hybrid of RE and DbD Nemesis. I'm pretty sure the artists behind the trailer did actually use a (perhaps early) version of DbD's model as a base and added some touches and details to it, such as crooked teeth and different eyes, some of which taken from the RE model.
They did really fine work on the trailer, would love to have that model in the game too.

Yeah I gotta say the trailer models for not only him but the other characters were actually very, VERY well done. Especially the survivors. They all looked PERFECT. The only problem I had with the trailer is that all the characters animations were pretty bad. But Nemesis actually looked pretty sweet. The jaw I mentioned to someone else here, this is how it should look. If they wanted to be more accurate that it. I wonder why they had to make completely separate models for the game itself. Honestly I'll just take these models any day because the trailer models were absolutely phenomenal.

I never thought I’d see the day where we are comparing a mutilated face made of pixels

I like being original sometimes.

Fair enough. As for the question he always looked a small bit off to me but since I don’t play RE I could be totally wrong

Yeah, the animations seem a little rushed in the trailer, but the models are definitely much better than what ended up in the game. As for why they are different, well, I assume they usually start work on the trailers rather early into the chapter development, so they either work with early models from BHVR, or they have to come up with their own models entirely, merely based on concepts and art from BHVR. Most of the characters in the game's history have looked very different in trailers, with many of them clearly having completely different models altogether. Yui is one of the glaring examples of as much. But part of it could also be that DbD's models just don't look nice enough to be featured in trailers, ha.
For the RE trailer specifically, it's pretty obvious that the artists at Player Two used models from Capcom and tweaked them. Pretty sure Jill, Claire and Leon are almost 1:1 REmake models, for Jill they only really changed the eyes. Not sure how they came up with their Chris. Nemesis does seem to be a mix of the DbD and RE models.
I don't know why they don't just use the models from the trailers for the game, I'm sure they would work in DbD, modders port all kinds of models into DbD all the time that not seldomly do look better than BHVR's character models.

As for where Chris came from, it's the RE5 Chris. At least in game it's RE5 Chris. In the trailer everything except for the face is still RE5. His face looks a lot like RE1 Chris.
And yeah I don't get it. I've actually mentioned this in the past in various places that why can't they just use the trailer models? Like modders like you said can port stuff all the time with no problems. Even the real models they port over actually look really good and fit fine.
