Why has alchemist ring not been nerfed?

It's an addon that requires the blight to land hits with his power to gain any benefit. I could understand if the addon gave him back charges if he missed because that would be unfair to play against.
It's pretty tiring to always see anything remotely good that killers have get demanded to be nerfed.

Because it makes chases shorter. His power is 1 second per token so you’re saving a bunch of chase time and can cut chases immediately short if you hit them in a dead zone

Umm excuse me but tag has a drawback. You have to use all your tokens and get a hit. If you miss, you gotta start the chase over from the beginning. No bloodlust, no tokens, nothing to help you

Prob because its counterplay is normal blight counterplay of strong windows and pre dropping pallets? We should probably stop nerfing stuff about killer and focus on nerfing survivor things.

Before you include my post, actually understand what I'm saying.
Counterplay isn't as simple as don't get hit, because you can get hit at almost every loop with a normal basic attack, the counterplay is having good positioning against a Blight where he can't hit you with his rush.
There are a plethora of loops in the game a Blight can't lethal rush and hit you at if you have good positioning at it.
Sure sometimes you'll have to be out of position, and that sucks, but at the end of the day, if you're out of position against a Blight already you wont be making it out of that situation in the first place.
When bringing up Blights who exploit using the ring, that's a different problem entirely that is separate from the ring.
This is a strong addon, with decent counterplay, it doesn't need a nerf, especially given the climate of the game currently were the survivors have a massive advantage over the killer.
The ring is fine, this is just needless complaining.
Even a nerf that only gives you 3 rushes back or 2 would be the same thing basically, most Blights can hit you if you're out of position with the third or second lethal rush, so it'd be almost instant anyways, just like it is now.

There y'all go talking about dead zones like that's all the maps are mad up of. There's always something to run to, a pallet, a window, or an obstacle.

Why do so many mediocre add-ons have drawbacks but this strong add-on on a strong killer has no drawback?
There's a real imbalance here. It's like topsy-turvy land where backwards is forwards. I don't know that I'd add a drawback to Alchemist Ring, maybe just make it so that he recovers tokens at 2x or 1.5x the speed or something, but jeez, completely removing the cooldown that's there to balance your power as a reward for basically just using your power... is that not crazy? It certainly sounds crazy.

In my honest opinion, it it was nerfed, I’d want it to recharge tokens at an extremely slow rate if you miss. It’d be a high risk (losing a lot of map pressure and mobility) high reward (getting all your rushes back, allowing you to keep up with the momentum of the game)

I'm honestly still shocked that they literally removed Father's Glasses from Spirit, her Add-On that wasn't even that strong, but they didn't even touch Alchemist's Ring

As someone who plays both sides i dont think the alchemist ring is too strong. Only bad survivors will get caught by the rush. The point of blight is to not get out positioned. He's a heavily rng killer and if you're so bad that you get caught out positioned every time its not the add on. Its you.

Never found that map problematic as survivor. It's easy to deflect blame onto the map instead of admitting that the team sucked.

Shelter Woods is one of the better maps for killer, because it's one of the more balanced maps. That said, I would like to see Shelter Woods be less rng reliant. Outside of shack, there's 0 window spawns that will spawn on that map since it's possible to get no jungle gyms with windows.

It's either the 2nd or 3rd largest map and actually spreads out weaker loops around the map. So yes it's far more balanced than other huge maps like Mother's Dwelling that is not only big, but has a ton of safe loops around map.

It is RNG reliant. Sometimes it's all jungle gyms and sometimes it's all TL's. But to me most of the problems come from the map being way too easy to split. Between that huge tree in the middle and shack, there's one middle gen. If that one gets done, guaranteed loss as killer, because now it's a donut of gens that you can't defend.

Mother’s Dwelling is imbalanced, yes. They need to get on with reworking Red Forest already. But Shelter Woods is imbalanced the other way. No elevated places to use Balanced Landing, excluding shack staircase (the only such map with this problem), a ton of area with absolutely nothing - especially the middle of the map. Almost every pallet loop outside of structures is unsafe, and almost all the gens are near shack - which is always basement. Oh, and gens are almost never concealed by structures on this map.

You are conflating "more balanced" with "balanced". Majority of maps in dbd are unbalanced.
Shelter Woods is simply one of the better large maps, because it's not full of safe loops.

There's so many people in this thread who have no clue how blights mechanics work. The whole balance of his power is that you don't get it back immediately. Having an add-on that lets him catch up with you right after his recovery animation goes against the design philosophy with him. Pair that with all the blights who exploit his mechanics to get impossible angles on you, then it's basically gg. It has very little counter play, especially when paired with blighted crow. You can't run into the open, you cant run away after being hit, you can't make distance, so what do you do?
The only people who defend this add-on are one sided killer mains huffing on copium.

Leave it be. Its one of his good add ons. Its not exactly overpowered because bare in mind you actually have to hit something to do lethal rush. Not only that you can easily dodge his lethal attack so I think that's enough drawbacks. Can you please start thinking about something on the survivors side which needs to be nerfed other focussing on killer. Thanks

There's so much counterplay to alchemist ring that even in tourneys where people play "at the highest level", where the game is "clearly survivor sided and only nurse can compete", it's a banned add-on
