Are stage variations possible?
Maybe stage variety would feel a little better if outdoor maps had different weather conditions, and/or night & day versions that were also randomly chosen?
For example, sometimes its raining at night for the the Asylum, or its snowing at Bedlam. Or a dull gray sky hangs over Midwich with ash drifting down, covering the courtyard and parts of the school.
It would not fundamentally change game play but different aesthetics could break up visual repetition. Especially, when you are unlucky enough to keep getting certain maps repeatedly.

That's a interesting idea. I would love to see a raining or thunderstorm map variety that affects things like Gen Repair, visibility, or even the speed of actions of both survivor and killer. Because right now the little bottle that affects the "Fog" is a joke on most maps

I would love thunder storms.
I am not sure how to balance it but I have imagined some parts of indoor maps being darker than other portions. Gen maybe located in a poorly lit room or hall, where a flashlight is actually useful.

That's a cool idea where players would have to choose to blind the killer or have to use it to see properly.

I don't know. Adding more rng to a game already filled to the brim with rng seems like a bad idea. Things like night and whatever that makes it harder for killer vison is just a kick to the nuts even rain might even mask survivor breathing, footsteps, gen being repaired, etc.

Cool idea but with the current state of the game (performance, bugs, overall quality) I don’t think it’s possible at all

In a sense Freddy’s Dreamworld is kind of a proof of concept of having maps take on unusual tints and effects like ash falling from the sky. If they can filter your view of maps through Dreamworld vision then presumably they can do other similar styles of filters that are just random variants for base maps.
