PS4 is Fixed?
So with the new patch being released I figured I would throw DbD on the PS4 a bone and see if it was better or worse performance wise.
To my absolute joy it was better, much better!
Seems the game is finally playable again, at least for me it is, so thanks BHVR for that but I hope you have learned from this. The last thing anyone wants to see is everything reverting back to the joke it was in a months time.
I am curious to know if others have now found their issues on the last Gen Consoles resolved or if I just got lucky somehow, let me know.

Recently my games have been going a lot smoother (on xbox one) than I'm used to. Hoping it's not just a fluke

Yeah it is a loooooot better.
Hope we never experience dark times of re chapter release again.

My friend is laggy as hell on PS4. Every time he's unhooked the game freezes for a few seconds and he can't do anything. Also sometimes he doesn't see other players movements including the killer, they just stop when actually moving.

Hit/Pallet validation is punishing, but everything else is good. PC and next-gen console players have such good ping that I don't have a good sense of distance when playing as survivor. The console and how old it is is really to blame, though. My router shows 1ms ping, and 5-15 ms jitter. But, on PS4 my ping never goes below 60.

My frame rate drops do seems to have gotten better. The hit validation always goes against me whichever side i play. that tells me that it's hardware related not just ping.

oddly, my ps4 dbd games were running a lot smoother pre patch. it seems the new patch made everything worse. my character will sometimes get stuck while being unhooked, vaulting or being healed, and the killer gets hits when im not even near them. i even had a match where it says i was being chased while the killer was across the map hooking someone. i can't even load into a killer match. but my ping isn't spiking either and remains pretty normal throughout the match. i've heard a lot of people are having these issues esp on console :/

I spoke to soon :(

No idea what happened. Guess Boon blue screen tints were simply too much for console DBD's optimisation to handle.
At least the framedrops aren't Resident Evil level, though.

That's been disproven.

Nope still plays like garbage lag everyone someone unhooks or a killer uses a power
