What is being done about subtle cheaters?
I'm talking about the killers with stretched screen res, and survivors who have tweaked their running speed ever so slightly so never can be caught up with.

Literally nothing. Only reports with evidence. Subtle cheats don't get evidence. Only a mocking "bruh you're just bad, accusing people of cheating"

Stretched res is not a cheat and this feature is mostly use by the survivor, killer dont have that much of an advantage with that.
For subtle cheat nothing the dev can do not many people can see those cheat and report them. Even if a player could see them the responsable staff may not see it as a cheat and think its a lag.
Personally i dont believe the report founction because i use it a couple years ago and i never had any news about that i know some streamer say it work but it may be because they are streamer so they have a special treatment

Devs claimed Stretched is cheating. Fog whisperers have been advised to not use / abuse it.

Actually a while ago Not_Queen commented on a stream that they do consider stretched res to be cheating. Similarly Dowsy has commented that Behavior told him and other Fog Whisperers that they consider stretched res to be cheating and the Whisperers could get in trouble in the program if they did it.
My guess is that the devs either ran into difficulty figuring out a way to force DbD to lock into certain specific aspect ratios to prevent it, and/or figure it's not as high priority a target for an exploit fix as other things. Regardless, though, they don't actually approve of the practice.

Running speed and general hacking will be stopped only by new and better security system.
Easy anti-cheat do nothing and currently a joke in a face.
There is nothing we can do but report and hope for good news.

One 'subtle' hack ive seen a LOT of recently while playing survivor is when a hacker will put lots of progress into gens other survivors are working on, like a bunch of rapid fire fast track skill checks and gen rush the killer. The killer would just assume survivors did gens quickly but when you're repairing it you can see them boost the progress from wherever in the map. It's insanely frustrating to know they're out there and BHVR does nothing about it :/

I did not know they said stretch res are cheating. I dont watch the dev stream because i find them to be really bad at the game.

Nothing, because the devs haven't taken steps to check if something impossible occurs in game, and they expect you to basically make a court case that someone cheated, which won't happen with subtle hacks.
