Did BHVR tweaked the SBMM ?
For those playing soloQ, have you noticed some changes in the quality of the players you are matched with today or yesterday ?

Something strange happened with the reset. Killer games have been super easy.

I have the feel they tweaked it without saying anything. I'm now matched with some pros and noobies mixed together. Of course, the noobies are throwing all the games now 😂
And queue times have never been so long as a survivor.

Solo Q was terrible last night.....Laughable even.

ive noticed like survivors got worse in my lobbies so somethin they did...

This evening, impossible to get a game with any competent survivor. I'm not asking for commandos survivors, but just decent ones, i can carry the game in chases if needed. But they all fall down in 10 seconds... They clearly changed something to please the killers.
I mean i understand as the killer gameplay was unbearable but tweaking a MM system to match noobies with pros to balance the game is not called balance.
What is the concept they don't understand in "balancing the game around high skill" ?

Thats normal you get 80% newbie killers and 20% killers who know what they doing and they deranked due to SWF teams.

I'll give it a try later. Yesterday at around mid-afternoon my side, SBMM seemed to be off completely and I had instant queues into a wide variety of groups. Later I had my usual queues and some really good games.
I wonder if they tweaked something, because I've had some really bonkers games over the previous week.
Interesting. I've had mostly the opposite experience. Plenty of 2-3 man SWFs with fancy skins that gave me a really hard time.

From other posts and some of my player friends a lot of killer players have left or switched to survivor after the recent updates.

Might be because I never play Oni but I played him all night on the 13th and my games were a few easy games followed by a slightly hard game then back to easy and repeat. Also this was done with no add ons and fresh perks as I was going through and prestiging him. So no sweaty ruin pop tink

I'm a psychopath I'd rather play solo. It's a different type of challenge that I like. Doesn't mean it's not ruff though.
I play in a party of 2 here and there but the 4 team yelling in the mic ######### I'm to old for. Can't stand it plus I disagree with all the benefits. Most don't want to go mic less.

Eh... Hard to tell with my sample size. I guess I will keep an eye on it, but as a general rule of thumb, in my experience, developers do a lot of behind the scenes tweaking to mmr systems. So it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

SBMM was working perfectly, that's the game general balance that is a problem.
I don't understand why they tweak something that works to "patch" the global design that is broken. If they don't work on the balance, they can tweak anything they want, it won't bring anything good...

My first match as survivor was with people that has <100 hours in DbD and even haven't 4 unlocked perk slots.
Since SBMM, I always had players with meta perks that playing good too.
Feels like that the number of mmr was reset like we had before.

Yes, either MMR has been reset, either it is disabled, either they tweaked it because high MMR kill rate was terrible.
Maybe the MMR system is where the breach is for the leaked IP ?
Anyone from BHVR to tell us what is happening with the SBMM ? We are all noticing some weird changes with the matchmaking.

at a certain point sbmm is a pit. Play with a less practiced friend and your number tanks and you get people that haven't a clue what they're doing then you get stuck there.
Hatch should give a small boost since it isn't a meaningless escape devoid of some skill. After a certain threshold of earned bp you should get a little something if anyone escapes. Make sitting on gens the least boosting followed by saves and chases escaped.

Nah, the same thing as always. People giving up on First hook, killer 4k'ing with 5 gens left, some selfcare's on wall corners and some urban evaders everywhere. Gotta love Solo Q

I've noticed swf are more frequent with the killers I have manually adjusted the mmr on.

Yeah queue times are insane… basically unplayable

My queue times are still super fast as survivor. I don't know but if I play Yui, the killer is a beginner. If I play Bill is the killer really good or really good in camping. Maybe it's just luck, I don't know 🙆♀️

After playing some more, I am 100% convinced they loosened the skill based matchmaking.

Your queue times might be faster because of your region and / or timezone. In Central Europe queue times during the day are fast for Survivors, but they become much slower towards the late afternoon / evening.
Or maybe it just broke, like basically anything in this game ever has at one point or another. Remember when disconnect penalties could be abused to give players who didn't disconnect a ban? And there were multiple times when it was supposedly fixed but then a day later or so it happened again? I think it's entirely possible for MMR to just break randomly without any direct changes from developers. That could be what's happening.

It honestly feels like we're back to the rank system. Sometimes you get speed running DBD wannabe squad, other times you get potatoes who self-care while infected by Plague. It's annoyingly inconsistent.

But even in afternoon my queue time is like 30-40 seconds. Still fast I think. But after 10pm I don't play anymore. There are too many selfish or trolling survivors.
