BHVR regarding community
Just wondering,
any feedback ever? or something taken into the account from the forums? or is it just modded (eg closed) where toxicity and saltiness appear?

Do the developers actually read and gain any knowledge/feedback from forums. or is just a discussion and rant for community

Yes we do take feedback from the forum...which is why we have special sub sections for this.
Developers is a broad spectrum term - most people actually mean game designers, and no they do not come to this forum within their work (we do have some pop in on their own time however), but it's the community teams' responsibility to take feedback to the relevant teams.
QA are also here, on the Bug Report section - they respond there when more information is needed but in general they check bug reports etc.

There is a Feedback section, yes, but don't expect them to take it into consideration.
If they did, Old Billy and Old Freddy would be back by now.

But the very fact they changed Billy and Freddy is proof they are listening to feedback.
Billy was easily in the top3 back then. And Freddy has become a meme of a bad killer. (I do think Billy nerf was overdone and Freddy should have gotten QoL changes and buffs btw). Just bringing the old versions back is not the right way to go and not what everyone is asking for

Uhhh, not quite...
Billy was indeed the third strongest killer in the game back then, but also regarded by the community as the most balanced. Not a single soul had a problem with Billy's base kit, and no one wanted it nerfed. Some people complained about Insta-Saw only, which is highly debatable depending on when you are.
Freddy, on the other hand, received many pleas for buffs and QoL improvements, but never a full rework.
Both got changed. Their current versions are heavily disliked and there are many threads asking for them to return. You've perfectly pointed out yourself the problems :

Absolutely correct.
Now, people want their killers back, or most aspects of them at the very least, and BHVR doesn't do anything about. They aren't listening to feedback, my friend.

They are listening. But they don’t just implement everything suggested especially not if only demanded by a vocal minority.
as I said, I don’t agree with many of their decisions. But it’s very obvious they are taking feedback into consideration. And it doesn’t help at all to say they are not. Then you could just as easily stop with your feedback.

The thing is, this is not a vocal minority.
You could do a massive poll regarding Freddy and Billy and most people would vote for their old versions. And this is merely one of countless examples.
BHVR definitely isn't listening to anything we say and recent events have been pure disappointments over and over again. I assure you that if everyone just ceased their feedback completely, or unanimously supported something, it would make zero difference.

a poll here on the forums? Yeah that will probably result in this.
but the forums are still a minority and if you had taken a poll back then most people would have wanted Freddy to be changed (because him not being able to attack outside of dreamworld was ridiculous) and Billy to be nerfed (really I never got why people now say he was the most balanced, it’s something brought up after the nerf)
and something else. They are slow. Extremely slow. Just look at OoO or DS. They listened to the community but just took ages.

Extend it, then. One of those surveys for the whole community. The result would be the same, regardless.
Or better yet, just make the appropriate changes and watch the feedback. People are tired of having those two boring and uninteresting killers in the game.
If the only problem is being slow, then it is time to fix that. They have the feedback, money and resources.
They just need to make the changes.
It is that simple.

i do agree management should change, or at least change the way they are handling this game now.
More resources for Quality Assurance. More focus on game health, game balance, QoL, accessibility instead of new characters. Don’t make a pact with the devil just for a license (looking at you Pinhead!). More communication and transparency.
don’t just revert something to their old flawed instance just because the new instance is flawed though.

I am still trying to make the game better, return to the game I genuinely loved. I don't consider it a loss.
It is...a commitment.

That's just not true because you have to specify what people wanted to be nerfed for Billy. Most of the good players would have been just fine if the charge add-ons didn't stack, but the devs listened to the Billy OP posts full of stupid takes by the same bad survivors who are gonna jump to the next killer to ######### about after they got what they wanted.
A year later after the nerf they make pools on Twitter with this.
So yeah, you might want to listen to the "minority" if they actually know what they're talking about.

There we have it. They do listen but the people that are complaining about them not listening want them to listen to the ‚good players‘.
i wouldn’t have said anything against that statement because they tend to mostly balance for casual players and I agree they should also take high skilled players into consideration more.
