Main event needs to have its time limit restriction removed

It only makes the trickster weaker and there is really no point in it.

One could argue that it would give him too much power to camp, but other killers such as Leatherface can already do that with their base power.

Giving the trickster a time limit to use a power that he has to build up to only to have a chance at using it in a chase makes him weaker.

Please remove this unecessary restriction. Allow the trickster to hold main event until he uses it.

    I understand why there's a time restriction- at least, I think I do. I think it's so that there's a rhythm to playing Trickster, so he has spikes of lethality instead of getting to choose when he triggers his extra strength like most of the other Killers with similar mechanics. I think it's reasonable, but it's far too punishing currently.

    What I think they should do instead is, if you don't use Main Event in time, it doesn't reset progress back to 0, it resets it to 50%.

    See what my problem is with main event majority of the time I don’t get to use it cause I can’t see any survivors when I get it or it won’t be affective when I use it. The punishment after it is annoying as well gives survivors a chance to run forward to even waste more time for trickster 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I'd meet more in the middle ground for 2 reasons. Trickster power is a massive spike when used correctly, add-ons make it even more oppressive. It gives Trickster a skill-cap which is needed for a ranged killer.

    Preferably I'd keep it the same. If it is unused though the power should default to 80-85% charged.

    It leaves the skill cap, gives new Trickster players a buffer, and doesn't change the overall strength of the power itself.

    Doesn't Bubba go into a tantrum if he holds his power too long by the hook?

    Just make Main Event go into cooldown if he stays too long by the hook, so that way all other Tricksters can just keep it whenever for whatever situations that dont involve camping.

    I'd be ok with it, if we disable all killer abilities within a small radius of a hooked survivor.

    What the Trickster needs is a complete redesign. His problems are well beyond simple number changes.

    Either that or he needs full normal movement speed during main event (both sounds like a bit much so just one or the other)

    trickster could use a few breadcrumbs thrown his way to his main event imo

    Yes. Solves a great majority of the camping problem. There is literally zero way to get to a hooked survivor with Main Event, what you are suggesting would need the limitation I propose. I would only exempt basement hooks.

    Yeah holding it could promote even more camping. Which something less experienced trickster users tend to do. I used to think that holding his main event would be perfect, but then I realized it would promote camping in a bad way. So I agree with what others have said, if does not get used it would reset to maybe 75% of it's power.

    What about literally every other killer who starts with their power and can also use it to camp?

    Leatherface, Oni, hag, and so on. Trickster is already good at camping and having that small restriction would just be annoying and unnecessary.

    Making main event go into cooldown if a trickster is standing close to a hook is unnecessary. Besides, I highly doubt trickster players would get main event just to camp someone to death.
