Should the "Luck" mechanic be changed?
Luck doesn't seem to really do anything, so perks and offerings for it are basically useless.

i'd like luck to affect more things, like increased chances of getting a skill check, increased size of great skill check zones, better quality loot from chests, perhaps a chance to see somebody's aura at random

The fact that more skill checks would be considered good luck says a lot about why having a passive value that could boost every Survivor interaction would be a horrible idea.

I don't see there being any way to introduce luck-based mechanics without it just being some nerf to killers across the board. I'd prefer they just remove the junk offerings and rework Up the Ante.
It's a game where you're playing against another player, you can't all just be "lucky" or it's just beating down on the killer. Like when DS was just everyone's first pickup, you can't all be the main character final girl, it just doesn't work.

Give the killer luck based mechanics too so that if they boost luck, they are also boosting the killer's luck.

I always disliked the fact that survivors had the chance to unhook themselves on the first stage, no matter how small the base chance. It’s just as ridiculous if killers had a 4% chance to instantly mori upon downing someone.
