Stop asking for everything to be nerfed...
Literally, there is always a thread asking for this or that to be nerfed. When something gets nerfed, people start going down the list on what they want getting nerfed next....
If anything, there are a lot of perks that need a buff so they aren't dogshit and people can have more variety in their builds.
Same goes for killers, imo, no killer needs a nerf right now, but there are a lot of low tier killers that surely could get a little buff or at least some quality of life updates.
Can we stop asking for everything to get nerfed? One day everything will be dogshit and nothing will actually be worth playing as/using.

Killers say DS deserves another nerf and survivors say Spirit deserves another nerf. You can never please some people.

I've never believed in nerfs in ANY game. Once the nerf crap starts it never stops. Give an inch and they take a mile.
1 -
You can never please players that play only one side. And BHVR should never listen to killer mains or survivor mains, they know nothing about the game.

I mainly request buffs I think? The only nerfs I can think of off-hand I might have mentioned was tweaking Iron Will to 90-95% at level 3 (so that it can actually interact with Stridor) and maybe Circle of Healing could stand to be slowed down. Beyond that I think my suggestions have been for various buffs (eg. Improve Monstrous Shrine) or revamps as opposed to buffs or nerfs (e.g. replace the BP bonus on Padded Jaws wih something useful in the match, or let Nurse keep her head up while stunned similar to Legion’s stun but slow down her refresh timer just slightly to compensate.)
So I’m with you, most changes should be neutral or buffs probably at this point, aside from the obvious tweaks they’ll be doing to the new Boons eventually (which isn’t surprising since they’re still basicallu brand new.)

Pretty much all the threads are nerf Dead Hard when over 50% of the player base doesn't know how to use it btw.
If they nerf it sometime, next on the line for "nerf threads" is Sprint Burst, 100%.

Nerf forum posts. You shouldn't be able to post on here without touching atleast one blade of grass between posts :)

See? Another nerf to a perk nobody is complaining about....
Like how nobody really complained about stridor, but it was nerfed because on spirit it was too much.
Imo now that spirit was nerfed, they could bring back old stridor and leave iron will how it is.

Do bones.

Then do bones again :)

If a survivor wants to keep putting a boon over and over, they're just wasting their own time.
As someone who basically only plays solo Q, I wouldn't like seeing a team mate placing a boon over and over when they could just be doing gens and contributing.
3 -
But my free boldness :(
1 -
I totally get that, specially when it's 1500 free BP.

… 😕 Nobody complains about Iron Will? There’s literally a post with the subject line calling Iron Will to be nerfed posted this afternoon.

Buffs are so much more interesting and fun. Let options be impactful! It's ok!
Nerfs move the game to a bland mush.

Nerfs/Buffs posts are useless and dumb.
The big balance work is around maps and gen speed, that's all.
Maps' layouts must be changed, many pallets/windows must be removed, same for hooks, the distance between them must be standardized to give some possibilities to the survivors but to avoid dead zone. Same for pallets, dead zones are nonsense.
Also, the killer patrol speed must be re-think, some killers cannot have map control being too slow...
So rework :
- maps' balance
- number of pallets/windows/hooks
- distance between pallets/windows/hooks
When all this is fixed to a point it's acceptable, even though not perfect, BHVR can start to rework/rethink some perks.
3 -
But they broke Stridor...sad face.
Patch 5.1.0
Nerf: Grunts of Pain and Breathing are now multiplicative values. This makes Stridor useless against Iron Will and Off the Record.

I dunno bout that,
The game hands alot of Second chances for survivors..
Soloq? not so much, But swfs? 100%
hate to tell ye but, Survivors needs more nerfs than killers,

No, we have to nerf Pig. She's too OP lmao

Thoese people don't want balance. They just want to one side to completely have total control and power over others

For the unreasonable part of the community, this is way too much to ask for.

This is known as a Slippery Slope fallacy, and it's...well, a fallacy.
There are plenty of things that need to be nerfed/fixed.
- The Haddonfield House of Pain.
- The Badham House of Pain
- DH eating killer powers and giving fake hits.
- CoH when combined with other healing perks/addons.
There is simply no defending an infinite where a competent survivor can lead Nemesis (of all killers) on a chase for almost 5 minutes, in the hands of one of the best killer players in the world
And a Strawman. All I need is a whataboutism and I'll have fallacy Bingo!
DH, as it was, was strong.
DH, as it is now, is broken.
The fact that it gives fake hits and futzes with killer powers in a way that is unlikely to be able to be fixed means that the perk will have to be balanced around this now.
This.
And - believe it or not - the power of certain loops and certain perks is actually going to be detrimental to survivors after a certain point.
We are already in an arms-race with killer and survivor powers, and it's only going to get worse from here. Currently BHVR seem to be trying to creating killers with more and more powerful anti-loop abilities, which is eventually going to end badly.

Trapless Trapper at max bloodlust is lowkey overpowered

@Marigoria hey could you give me your in game name so that we can play together sometime?

The only way to buff various perks so they are used is to make them as strong as the meta perks, thus initiating extreme power creep where every new perk needs to be even more and more broken.

Enter The One Punch Man Era.

nerf this thread.

Another one that likes their broken toys.

I can’t really think of anything I would like nerfed. There are some changes I would like to see but that pertains to the way information is relayed to the player. Would definitely love to see some buffs though.

This is the other side of the issue, and it does feel like it's slowly happening to both killers and especially survivors when something new is added.
CoH was a mistake.
0 -
Nahh let’s buff it

I'm just going leave this here

Nerf sluzzys threads, there too powerful.

Fine buff Brutal Strength and Dying Light

this thread isn't about iron will, yet it got brought up anyway
that's what they mean. when someone suggests any kind of nerf, everyone else piles in saying a thousand other things should also be nerfed. this thread is talking about talking about nerfs and people are talking about nerfing iron will in it. the point proves itself.
2 -
You can't balance meta by buffing other things, that just leads to power creep where anyone that doesn't have meta perks/items/addons will get brutally stomped ASAP.
1 -
Boons in general need a reduction in thier area again 35M is still a extremely large area to cover but I agree with the slowdown to CoH I litterly saw someone in a game today I just knocked down get right back up in seconds. Survivors can heal in front of killers and be fully healed before they can react or get close.

It's already dogshit. We need buffs, not nerfs. Ppl don't understand that. Buffs makes the game fun even though it's broken.
This game needs to be broken. That's what makes it fun.
Nerf makes it boring. U just sit there and do generators ....

Nerfing them would please some people.

Dead hard is the only exhaustion perk that must be COMPLETELY reworked/nerfed. I did a thread regarding dead hard, explaining the reasons why it should be looked at. If you want to take a look this is the thread https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2640771#Comment_2640771

Nerfs are overall healthier for a game. If you only buff things you pretty quickly get insane power creep that just breaks any semblance of balance.
Have you seen how many mediocre perks have been buffed or outright reworked, and nearly none of them have been touched by the players regardless. It's because they'd need to be buffed tothe point of game defining to ever be better than the countless second chance perks in the game, or better than stalling perks on the killer side. There's simply no way you could buff perks like Bond or Deja Vu so much that they would be on par with having another health state.
However if they nerf some of the perks on the survivor side that drag out the match by having so many extra health states and chase extensions like Dead Hard, the killers aren't going to be so reliant on stalling perks so they can afford to nerf them as well without damaging the game for killers. In turn, less stalling perks would mean you'd be less reliant on the game extension caused by Dead Hard to survive. It would bring back the option to use less meta perks when they aren't as demanded by the other side's meta perks.

Never! When I say nerf, you say Hag.
NERF!

you don't have to worry when you don't play killers,
no matter how many sold that dlc they gonna nerf for next meta selling

The original post wasn’t about Iron Will, and I agreed with the original poster that almost all the changes I’d like to see are buffs or neutral ones. I only mentioned Iron Will in the first place because it was one of the only modest nerfs I could think of off-hand that seem like a good idea. And in response the original poster ignored everything else I said and lambasted the idea of changing Iron Will because “who complains about Iron Will?” As if I was the only person who has said Iron Will could probably use a tweak and was being unreasonable.

FYI Their radius is 24m, not 35.
