How would you improve Overcharge?
(keeping in mind it's balanced around new players, so it couldn't be buffed by making the skill check harder.)
Here are some possibilities: (and/or)
- it stacks with oppression, surge (jolt), and eruption. (and any future perks that are similar)
- gens affected by it regress 5/10/15% faster
- failing a skillcheck on a gen previously marked with overcharge results in additional loss of progress for failing the skill check (5%) (lasts a minute or two)
- skill checks on a generator marked by overcharge are 20/25/30% smaller. (lasts a minute or two)
- Maybe the great skill check window is removed on generators within the terror radius?
- failing the overcharge skillcheck results in 10/15/20 seconds of aura reading/incapacitated.

I don't know about that...

still too weak, they can just queue up for another game
My take:
Hitting the skillcheck kills the survivor
failing the skillcheck bricks their system

Kicking the gen applies some small amount of base regression.
If they hit the skill check, there was extremely little point to you kicking the gen. And after they expect it, they'll likely hit it. Make it so that you still get some benefit out of the perk.

Agreed, the problem is the perk on its own isn’t consistent assuming survivors can make that check without too much difficulty, and even then the amount of regression it gives isn’t huge. Let the kick squeeze out some addition percentage from the generator, kind of like a mini Pop Goes the Weasel, that’s augmented by the possibility of missing the skill check it produces.

Activates on regressing generators.
So not just kicking gens, but also perks like Hex: Ruin cause gens to become Overcharged.

^ This is the best I've seen.
So not only apply on kicks but also passively be applied to any gen currently regressing. This makes it have synergy with a lot of other perks.
Seeing as the skill checks are generally too easy to land and we can't make them harder for new survivors they need to be less costly to apply, aka passive on regressing. The amount lost for missing it is already extremely minuscule anyway so this shouldn't be an issue.

Overcharge:
When you compete a damage action of a generator, that generator is affected by Overcharge.
Generators affected by Overcharge regress 150% faster than normal.
When a survivor interrupts a regressing generator, that survivor must pass a tremendous difficult skill check. Succeeding this skill check grants no progress; however, failing it will cause the generator to explode, instantly regressing it by 6/8/10%.

I'd change 2 things.
- Increase the difficulty of the 'check'.
- Passing the check grants no bonus progression.
