Well now that I got your attention with that clickbait title 😂, I gotta say with how rough my games have been lately I've found a new way to have fun you guys should try it
Alright so with the boon meta running rampant these days, I've been completely countering it these days with this one simple build
I play trapper with hex ruin, undying, haunted grounds, and Toth
Then I run both stone add ons the one that resets traps for you and the one that kills survivors when they escape
And all I do is trap every single totem I don't worry about gens and whether I win or lose I gotta say it's been fun as hell and way more effective then it should be

I mean honestly it's not that great however on trap chars like trapper or Hag it's decent and it can also be decent on stealth killers like Myers or Ghostface when paired with undying cause you sneak on them while they do it since it takes so long and you 99 your power and then one shot them and snuff it soon as they do it lol

Stupid question: Does Haunted Grounds trigger if a Survivor blesses the Trapped Totem?

Everyone is playing the game wrong though. That other survivor or killer in queue did better than you last game, step it up.
Trapper like that is fun. There is a lot you can do with him and be cheeky with. I was running the purple stone add on and wiped out half the survivor team when I was tabbed out and refreshing my music. Very underrated slasher.

That's a fair build. If I was going to do that though, it would probably be:
Undying+Ruin+Devour Hope+Nurse's
TOTH is...fine - if they bring boons. But too often I bring an anti-boon build, and nobody brings them. Nurse's at least has some solid utility.
I've come back around to Nurse's in a big way recently, as a lot of people will use boons to selfcare. I've gotten so many easy downs thanks to that.
Haunted...works, but if I'm going Haunted, I'm also going to want Retribution.
My counter-boon build goes:
Plaything+Retribution+Devour Hope+x
Plaything and DH give incredible pressure in the midgame, and Retribution means that if they start cleansing totems, they are going to give me all the info I need.

It's pretty good to combat boons tbh.
28 seconds to bless a dull totem
56 seconds to bless a hex.
If you run op's build they are pretty much forced to cleanse the totems or throw the game spending minutes blessing them.

Exactly that's why I've been loving it, lately people only focusing on healing and playing stealthily I find I'm running into less and less dead hards and more and more boons and self care and iron will

I am to scared to run hex perks these days. Nothing last and if i ran the build you describe ToTH would be the first cleansed after undying. No thx i prefer the greater chance for value from other perks.
Plaything is the only hex i run but dont see why how you would add more hexes to the build. Plaything uses 4 totems so at most 1 more hex perk otherwise you reduce the value of plaything unless they bless the hex which i would get the one time no boons are in play which i have yet to see.

That's why I only run them on trapper none of my hexes ever get cleansed because the are all trapped and if they do its usually undying or haunted which just helps me because I always get a hook off either one going
There is the rare chance trill gets cleansed but so what it's usually trapped and I'm running all hexes that means It takes 50 secs to boon or something like that iirc that's a long time

It absolutely does.
Source: I blessed a totem when a Spirit was phasing towards me. She finished phasing the exact second I finished blessing, and she downed me just as the exposed and HG notifications popped up. 🥲

It still goes off. Unless they changed it from when I tried it on the PTB Haunted Grounds still triggers if it is blessed.

That's a good build but I don't like to run hex perks every game. But if you're having fun with it that's cool.

Yes 40-50 seconds is a long time and you are guaranteed they have to cleanse 2 at that speed. I just prefer fun builds lately (More value) is all

Understandable I'm not saying its the end all be all build I'm just saying it's quite fun and I think it works great against boon squads
