Secret hex plaything nerf?
It always spawns on the closest possible totem to the hook the survivor is on. I have noticed this for 5 games now. I never really payed attention before because totems lasted more than 12 seconds. I may be getting better survivors and it has always been like this, but they have been cleansing them really fast. I have been looking where it spawns and it is always really close.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
UPDATE. It was all in my mind and just horrendous luck (or is it?) I had one game where they spawned on the opposite side of the map after hooking.

Sorry, but are you sure other totems wasn't cleansed/blessed/occupied by hex?
For example 2 dull totems left, one near your hook. Chance is 50/50.

it does it on the first hook and when i remember to check later in the match. With boon totems and no hexes in play, survivors tend to avoid cleansing totems and i see them still standing around the map.

This is a flat DBD totem issue my brother lol

I mean you can't really tell because you're just assuming the Survivor didn't cleanse anything at all lol.

Hmm :( Kinda bs when the totem next to the hook lights up in full view of you and the survivor.

I'll take a look later today. I...might have seen something similar now that I think about it, but it may just be ye olde DbD crap totem location.

No, it's still random. I just rewatched a couple of trials of mine from yesterday. First game, the first survivor had Plaything spawn across the map. The second hex was next to the hook. The others where about average distance and that's just where the remaining totems were available. Second game on Grim Pantry I got the first two hooks by the totem spawns at the rocks near shack and Plaything still spawned at corner totems instead.
Also, having a close spawn is not necessarily a bad thing. Survivors will be baited into cleansing the totem immediately, which will disable DS the moment they touch it and they're still oblivious while you're going back to the hook for the big fat tunnel.
5head tunneler brain pro move, honestly.

Survivors should just be blinded to totems while on the hook, that way it'll at least take a miniscule effort to find it rather than none at all.

I guess it is just a string of bad luck then.
