I don't think giving DBD for free for a whole week is a good idea
Just this weekend I faced obvious hackers on two different games. By obvious I mean that they were speedhacking, teleporting around, doing that "self hook" thing, having infinite heals and infinite decisive strike. I recorded everything and submitted a ticket for each of thsoe players.
However, the problem with cheaters has been going on for a long time and BHVR still has failed to address (or even officially recognise) the matter. I can only wonder how many subtle chaters I've gone against without even realizing or knowing. And this all while the game is being sold.
This is not even the first time in my 2-3 years career on dbd, I've encountered multiple obvious hackers, but never so close to each others. This is obviously my personal experience, so I do wonder how
Therefore, I'm afraid that giving cheaters the possibility to create possibly hundreds of new accounts for free when you still have no solution to the problem is going to be extremely unhealthy for the game, as reporting and getting someone banned will virtually do nothing to them when they will have in stock multiple other accounts.

DBD has had many free weekends on most of it's platforms before anyway. We get hackers now without the free weekend. The problem isnt the free / taster weekend its the fact that there isnt anything being done to stop it or improve the anti-cheat. The free weekend is good to bring in some new players - and I'm sure this will increase the number of hackers a small amount - but there are hackers anyway so I don't see a massive problem with it.
