Do you think DS should be disabled if you take a protection hit. Because then it isn't really tunneling and maybe I won't have survivor mains whining that I'm tunneling through their DS.

That wouldn't work as a blanket solution since you can actually get a protection hit while being downed. Which could happen if an injured survivor unhooks you without BT and the killer hits you off hook.
That said, if you bodyblock me with BT for 12 seconds and I have to wait that long to down you, you don't get to complain about being tunneled.

Exactly what happened to me. Disconnected from that because that wasn't much of skill. More of crappy game mechanics.

Wait doesn't a protection hit only count if you are both nearby and both in chase? If they just got unhooked then they could just... walk.

I don't think the person taking a hit has to be in chase, no. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
