Sbmm makes the game infinitely worse
I play mostly survivor and it’s either way to easy and I’m playing against a killer who’s never played before or I’m playing against a killer who farms off hook and face camps me to death while my teammates hit zero skill checks I never go against killers of my skill with teammates of my skill anymore. Matchmaking wasn’t good before but it’s awful now

That is the dichotomy of DBD.
You either stomp or get stomped. There is no balance.

stomp = 4k, stomped = 0k, so around 2k average = "balanced"

Y'all act like you don't have perks. BT, DS, and Dead Hard are things. Use them. Or just get better. This is not about MMR being bad at all.

Have you read that post?
His issue is not really tunneling / strong killers etc.

But he's talking about being farmed off hook, yet blames MMR. Makes no sense.

camping/tunneling has always been a thing. i see the problem as the MMR on survivor side. if i play solo q and get a potato team i'm not going to escape. If this happens so many games in a row then my MMR keeps dropping and the cycle continues. I only raise my MMR when i play swf again. i honestly believe this game has so much technical debt that it couldn't handle actually measuring skill and incorporating those numbers into matchmaking. that is why we don't have SBMM by each killer or actual SBMM for survivor side. kills/escapes only is horrible.

The real problem with "skill-based" matchmaking is that they took 3 years just to implement a binary kill/escape check with zero nuance.
All it encourages is playing incredibly selfish as a survivor and camping out a kill or two if you think you are outmatched as killer. I think everyone agrees this is not fun gameplay.

But we already knew that.
Ever since the first test we knew this abomination was not going to work.
I don't know why it was implemented in the first place.
