Sick of same meta perks every single match.
Just one word: boring.

Yeah it’s boring but what are you gonna do

Just talking about it xD

It's the hit validation from Dead Hard that is getting to me. I'm tired of knowing I hit a survivor but the server tells me no.

I made my own "meta"... Corrupt and Whispers on Killers
BT, Kindred and Leader for Survivors

It is, but that's what happens when everyone takes a game way too seriously.
A killer gets stomped by a sweaty SWF bully squad, solo queue gets stomped by this killer who wants to "take revenge" on survivors based on their last match, solo players learn that their only chance is to join a SWF, and the cycle continues lol.

Blame the community for freaking out every single time a new perk is introduced that is actually powerful and worth swapping out a meta perk for.
See: Tenacity, Boil Over, Deliverance, Autodidact, Mettle of Man, Any Means Necessary, reworked Lucky Break, For the People, Soul Guard, reworked Built to Last, Power Struggle, Smash Hit, Blast Mine, Shadow Step, Spirit Fury, Rancor, Dragon's Grip, Starstruck, Lethal Pursuer, Eruption.
All of these have potential to be very useful perks, and I know for a fact that several of them had many complaints before they even came out about how 'strong' and 'overpowered' they would be. Some did in fact warrant nerfs (Mettle of Man comes to mind), of course.
The devs are afraid of adding new meta shaking perks for fear of the community blowing up (as usual) with allegations of "power creep" and what not.
Stop asking for nerfs on new powerful perks, and start asking for lesser used ones to be buffed instead. For example, Circle of Healing is the first (debatably) meta Survivor perk since David released with Dead Hard, which was *four and a half years ago*.

They need to expand how many perks you can use during a match. The original game is based on a much smaller number of killers/survivors. The game has expanded far beyond the original version and i think there is some dynamic gameplay to be had by adding more perk slots to use during game play.

Abandon the game until they start working on these issues would be a good guess. But there have to be plenty of people on board to make a change. Best would be, if the DBD streamers decide to abandon the game for good, maybe that would lead to people actually abandon the game as well.
1 -
I don’t think streamers leaving the game would make other players quit.

Be the change you want to see. Run weird perks or themed perks.
0 -
If you think that will change something you are totally wrong.
1 -
And again, whenever the Dev's release perks to attempt to break META they are complained about.
Had a Killer call me a META rat last night for running COH, Leader, BT & Small Game. I guaranteed if I ran DS, UB, DH & SC I'd get the same response.
You can never win/satisfy everybody.

It's actually the opposite.
You aren't hitting the survivor even though it might look like it, that's why the server is telling you "no".

i just want bhvr to stop releasing new good perks and start changing the mountain of old useless ones. if you're not gonna do anything about the grind (or if you're gonna make vague empty promises about fixing it you know won't happen) at least make it somewhat worthwhile.

Even though you moved forward with my hatchet it made the meaty thud you still dodged it by running forward with it?
2 -
Fair. But you get stuck in animation while they are heading to another loop (Don't matter if animation is shorter). If you didn't really hit you should not be wiping your blade or getting your power ate. This needs fixed on killer POV.
1 -
True though.
I had a killer lose their head toward me because flip-flop + tenacity saved me from being hooked to the basement...
At this point, it doesn't matter what you run because there's always someone who'll complain.
1 -
LOL Survivor mains just won't EVER "get" it.

It doesn't matter what you run someone will think it's meta. Honestly tho, it's such a messed up "meta' situation because it's either you have to use the same good consistent perks to have a chance of completing your objective if you want to win, or throw for fun and go up against someone using meta perks and get tilted cause you arent. Add onto that there are so many either situational or straight-up garbage perks and so few consistent ones in comparison so why even bother changing perks. I don't think my main lineup of perks has changed much since 2016 and that's most likely the same situation for others on the forum.

Literally.
Thats why I stopped caring what I run, there is no point.

That's nothing. Someone called me sweaty because I used boil over. A useless perk

Because trying to create new perks as strong as the old ones is a fool's errand when the old meta perks continue to be meta because, at least on the survivor side, they're basically oriented around free hits. If it's not getting a virtual health state somehow, then it's because the numbers it's providing are ridiculous: PTS letting everyone stack etc.
COH became meta by providing a teamwide absurd healing bonus provided you can spend 14s on a bone every now and then, and totally killed hex perks in the process. That is not a good meta development, since it just amped up the need for instadowns/tunnelling/camping that the other meta perks are brought to fight against.

Preach.
Listen, I had a game as killer where this Kate (who I suspected had BT, DS, UB, and the like) only had Breakout, BT, Windows of Opportunity, Spine Chill ran me for some time. I initially just assumed she had a full on meta, but she was just good at running me and using her perks to her advantage. I can be annoyed that I got out-ran, but I can't be mad at her for using perks and other non-meta perks at that.
I think many of the perks that are coming out (like that new boon perk) are extremely situational at best. So they are mostly only potent in a very specific scenario.
1 -
Unfortunately that's this game.
Before Circle Of Healing survivors haven't gotten a real meta perk, without being nerfed since Dead Hard. Survivor meta will forever stay roughly the same tbh.
Killers meta right now is actually quite exciting since they have a lot of perks that are meta. Most meta killer perks don't get touched which make the meta more diverse.

All the perk you said are really good but sadly they dont see play because the survivor meta is so op that a good perk is weak compare to them

game is stale for years, all new perks are hot garbage (especially the survivor ones) these devs take zero risks to make the game fresh and fun again. older players mostly abandonded ship years ago, they count on new players all the time now. its so sad this was once my favorite game

I am hitting them. I know I am. I'm 6 inches behind them.

Yes!! I can do everything right as solo and still lose because my team is full of potatoes. Ever since I put CoH on my Nurse Mason I started seeing players run OUT OF THE CIRCLE. I almost left the match seeing that me and an Ace had to follow some dumb Nea waaay over where she ran… The killer was on the Elodie the whole time…!!
Why? The moment I play killer. Even a NEW killer. I get 4 Rank 1 Sailor Harringtons with flashlights, medkits, and toolboxes. Every group knows that to do. How to run the killer. It’s very irritating.

Its because BHVR does not generate a fun meta. Nearly any perk that has broken the meta is very commonly e x t r e m e l y frustrating to go again. The issue in DBD isn't the meta, its the fact BHVR is literally incapable of designing a fun meta.

I was with you until you mentioned perks like Boil Over, Smash Hit and Eruption.
0 -
It doesn't work like that unfortunately because meta stands for Most Effective Tactic Available
0 -
And for me that is the Most Effective Tactic Available
So that is my "meta"

Good point
