Why is it cheaper to buy the RE dlc on epic store than steam?

There's a five dollar price difference. If I use my Behaviour account to link the my epic and steam accounts, will I be able to launch the game from Steam and use any DLC I got from the Epic store?

    Epic games store currently has a sale for DLC.

    As the others have said, there's a sale on DLC's on Epic at the moment, it ends on the 8th December at 10am EST though.
