Noob crow question

Can someome please help me understand the different crow interactions?


I understand that at a distance you will swarm a survivor, and if that survivor is already swarmed then you injure them.

What is it that triggers Killer Instinct instead of swarming. Is it a near miss? If so, how near?


I also understand that if you hit someone with a crow up close then its a direct injury. However, I've had cases where I've hit someone over a loop up close, and its just swarmed them. Does the direct injury crow get changed to a swarm if it goes through a wall or over an obstacle?

    I don't know the exact values, but I can tell you that you're right about Killer Instinct being triggered on a near miss- she has addons to extend that range too, if you want to use the crows as an information-gathering tool.

    As for the range where it injures, you can actually see that range while the crow is idle, it'll show you the point at which it stops being damaging. I'd imagine the loop was just big enough that the survivor was juuuuust on the edge of it being damaging, and got swarmed instead, since the range is pretty small.

    So you can use a crow short distance to injure through walls, a bit like the pyramid head attack?

    I'm fairly certain that if it goes through walls it will never do instant damage (unless they are already swarmed). Attacking through walls is unique to PH.
