Anyone else disappointed with the latest chapter?
First off, the new map is gigantic and extremely survivor sided, with the most obvious and open totem locations, and no chance for stealth killers to sneak up on anybody. Not to mention that there is probably 2 square feet of grass on the ENTIRE MAP, so trapper and hag pretty much don't have a power anymore.
The main building also has 2 god windows with breakable doors to make them decent loops, but there is also a near-infinite in the main building as well.
The new survivor character model and voice acting is cool, sure. But his new perks are either worthless (Corrective action and exponential), or encourage the worst type of gameplay (Holding w with overcome).
The new killer is even worse. Yeah sure she is fun to play AS, but she is essentially a triple pyramid head with no slowdown, so she just traps every entrance to a loop so you are FORCED to hold w. Terrible killer design. Whenever me and my SWF group see that its the Artist, we all agree to just split up and gen rush to end the game as fast as possible instead of going for flashlight and pallet saves, etc.
I was not excited at all for the new chapter, especially after it fully released from the PTB. I'm very disappointed that a company with 850 employees KEEP FALLING FOR THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER. Nobody wanted another pyramid head/nemesis killer with a gigantic, over-powered survivor map. Both playing as the new survivor and against the new killer just encourages holding w and gen rushing. Its sad to say that the game was better BEFORE this chapter released. I sincerely hope that VHS has the 'Valorant' effect that Valorant had on CSGO. These devs need to kick their asses in gear and actually IMPROVE the game instead of making ######### cash grabs every 3 months.

I agree about the map thing. It's huge and it's harming killers.
When it comes to The Artist I'd say she's much needed and the killers with similar power to hers. Survivors can just abuse tiles and win every time, but not against this killer. I had a few matches where I was doing really well against her. She has counterplay and she is fun to play. That's what matters. Looping needs to be nerfed anyway. One survivor can ruin the killer experience just because they have LT walls leading into the window jungle gym. Absurd! She doesn't need any nerfs. The survivor role needs a rework. It's just too easy to sit on a generator and run around pallets.

The artist doesn’t need any nerfs. I think you’re just bad against her.
Do what you do against a good pyramid head. There you go.

1) Map isn't actually gigantic, pretty average-sized map. It is similar in size to ormond, farm, macmillian etc, not actually red forest or rpd sized.
2) the god windows aren't decent loops once the walls are broken, they become nearly useless and give the survivors almost no distance. Break the 2 walls that exist, and the main building has nothing.
3) Her gameplay in the PTB encouraged holding W the most, since walking into crows injured you, but now she has actual counterplay and misplay potential, similar to going against a nurse or Pyramid Head.
4) Nothing this chapter "encourages" gen rushing and holding w more, if that is the only way you can win then cheers but that is clearly not how others feel, the meta is still the same and a new strong killer was added.
