Is The Artist OP
I get at least 1 DC per match. Are servers unstable or people leaving because they hate her?

People DC its nothing new, but as with always when a killer comes out people dont really know how to counter them and almost always theres a rage quit, i meen...shes been out for a day and theres already people clamoring for her to get nerfed to oblivion

It’s people that don’t want to learn and adapt and would rather come to the forums to tell the devs how OP she is.

They're leaving because they hate her.
2 -
Basically killer semi decent at loops = boring apparently.
9 -
you get baby survivors that want to loop the killer for 5 gens without getting hit, she doesn't allow that, so they hate her because they can't bully the killer.
7 -
Thanks for confirming. It's literally every match. Played around 20 today and I feel bad hooking everyone after a DC but it's the survivors fault for leaving their team.
6 -
I mean as long as they're convinced running around a fence takes skill nothings gonna change.

It's people who stay in 1 loop even after getting hit twice by the crows, then complain she's unfair.
I wish I got to play against her more, it was a lot of fun looping her the couple games I've had her.

I understand how you feel, but you are better finishing the match fast if you can, if they resist you still have something of a real match, if they truly didn't gave up, avoid tunneling as muhc as you can so you keep a "real match" experience

Answer to the question in the title is No.
So much NOOOOOO

Not even remotely. Survivors just haven't learned how to play against her.
There's zero reason to ever get cross map sniped or range sniped. You instantly repel crows if you hop in a locker. And she has very little time to line up a shot if you repel immediately in the event that you don't have enough distance to safely hop in and out of a locker. If she snipes you on a gen, hop in and out of a locker, then proceed as if nothing happened.
At loops, she either gives you time to W away by setting the crows, or she power cancels and doesn't set crows. She's really not all that efficient.

Strong but I wouldn’t say OP. We’ll have to wait until people master her though

no she's brand new.

no

I think she is like the hag. Strong vs randoms and weaker vs swf.

she is weak against good survs and swf but good against randoms who don't genrush

No, it’s just that most survivors are in fact garbage and don’t like it when they don’t get an escape handed to them on a plate.

I mean there are people who think that Spirit is op even after the nerf so
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is the trend survivors have been seeing setting. Why get better when you can demand nerfs?
And then they get upset that killers don't want to play and tell them to just "accept losing" because they are so good at accepting loss.

Wait till later when DBD goes free on Epic. DCs ahoy!
But no, she's powerful but not op. Rather like Doctor. Lot's of tools at her disposal but she can be "defeated".

I see a lot of people saying "She's not op, people just don't know how to counter her". But I don't see any insight into how to do that. I'm a killer main, and I've played her a fair few times, and can honestly say; I've never felt like I got more undeserved kills with any other killer. She kind of plays like Pyramid Head, but better. You can hit people through things, but don't need to worry about gaps, or long distances. Your power can reveal Survivor's locations, but you don't need to wait for them to step into your power. You can block off multiple exists, making corners a death trap. You don't even need tracking perks. IMO, she needs to be a 4.4 speed, or much longer cooldowns to her power. Maybe both. If I want easy wins, I just play as her 😅

Well, pentimento is out at the same time and you create a discussion about it too. Don’t you want to learn too?

Umm what?

Artist is not OP, she's fine as she is. She requires different counterplay instead of looping or holding W and some survivors apparently don't like that.

Like what?

Well considering looping and w keying away from killers are literally the only mechanics for escaping killers, I think you just inadvertently proved the issue with artist. She can be fun to play against but her zoning is absolutely through the roof because she has 115 speed and 3 crows with hitboxes the size of busses. The only real strat against her is breaking LOS but that doesn't do much when she can hit anything behind a long wall. She's basically Huntress if huntress could plant stationary hatchets and send them whenever she wanted but with infinite range, can go through anything and had 115 speed to top that. Killers are enjoying getting their 3-4k's with her which I think is fine, but there's a bit of bias from killer mains AND bias from survivors. I get it, both sides are whiny though neither would dare to admit it. It's a game and everyone wants a fair chance to win. I just personally think she is the epitome of what causes nerfs. On paper, she has no real counter play. W keying away doesn't work because her 115 speed and she can zone with crows, looping isn't viable so the only real play against her is breaking LOS which again is moot because she can cover a massive area(say the size of a long wall). You have two choices, mind game the long wall and most certainly get hit by crows, or w key away and she catches up to you. The best counterplay against her is a bad Artist lol.

No.
People DC constantly anyway. If anything, I see way more DCs when I play Myers, Doctor, Pig or Cenobite.
1 -
People DC for any reason at all.

Anything other than a basic M1 killer with no perks and some survivors are gonna DC, while crying "boring" or "OP!"
Meanwhile 75% of all survs are running some combo of DH/DS/BT/UB all day everyday.
And no, the Artist is not remotely OP.

People can DC vs a speed-limiter Bubba (pre-buff Bubba).
