Today I've learned: HAUNTED GROUND is affected by HIT VALIDATION?
I don't even know if this is a bug or if it's hit validation, but apparently Haunted Ground timer is wrong?
Check from 6:07, and tell me if I'm missing something:

or maybe... you know..
they're running Vigil? Which is clearly shown in the thumbnail???

What happened is Vigil allowed him to recover from Exposed faster, so he wasn’t under its effect anymore.
Personally I think it shouldn’t work against haunted, but yeah, that’s what happened.

Yeah it''s vigil definitely

Unlike exposure from killer powers (ghostface, myers) haunted grounds is subject to vigil. John's 4th perk. That means it reduces the exposure time of haunted grounds by 30% so he would have only been exposed for something like 40 seconds, not the full haunted grounds displayed duration of 60 seconds.

To be specific:
Vigil increases recovery rate by 30%
60 / 1.3 = approximately 46.15 seconds; this is how long it takes him to recover from Haunted with it.

I had NO IDEA 🤯.
You sir solved a mystery, I thought Vigil was helping only in recovering from exhaustion, I didn't realise it was changed!
Thank you!
EDIT: and thanks to everybody else as well lol. I really had no idea this was the case.

Vigil lmao

Its 42s

It would be, if it was calculated as just removing 30% of the time.
That’s not how it’s calculated though - what Vigil does is increase recovery speed, not decrease recovery time. Your normal recovery speed is 1, vigil adds 30%, thus making it 1.3.
Then you just divide the total time (in this case, 60), by 1.3 to get the result.
If you have two vigils stacking (eg, you and a teammate in range, then you just use 1.6 instead.

Oh I see, thanks

Its always been like that. The only thing that was changed was the faster recovery of status effects

I went and check, and it's actually not the case,
in 5.3.0 vigil was changed so that the exposed status effect would be affected as well (other than the % change and the radius effect):

Oh well i was wrong then
