Just Rework Leatherface.

I mean JEEESUUS the amount of people who camp with him are through the roof. How does no one at BHVR see this as a problem?

A killer that can instadown all 4 survivors and even counter Borrowed Time, what the hell were BHVR smoking because there's no way it's legal.

No one wants to wait for a lobby only to be hooked the entire game because the killer is too new to know any better or is complete utter garbage and the only way the can get a kill is camping, and 9 times out of 10 it's this ONE killer.

I have done 11 matches of survivor today, and I have been camped or seen someone camped 4 times out of those 11. Those 4 matches ALL had a leatherface that did nothing but sit at the hook, smacking the survivor like they're proud of it. The mind set of "I put the circle in the circle hole" and they're super proud of themselves for doing the bare minimum making the rest of the match boring for the survivors that can't do anything to save and are forced to do gens, and boring for the survivor on hook because they don't get to play anymore of that match.

Camping should NOT be as heavily incentivized as it is, especially through Leatherfaces current existence.

If its bubba than dont go for the save just have everyone doing other gens so as to punish him for not patrolling. You cant really fight that play style and you only hurt your team trying to rescue. The worst is basement bubba with insidious because he can just hide down there

Leatherface isn't the problem, facecamping is the problem- any killer can do it, and any killer with an instadown can do it very effectively, as well as any ranged killer.

Of course, facecamping is also a very sticky and difficult problem to fix, which is probably why it's taken a while to fix.

This. If everyone just did this, Bubbas will eventually get bored of camping and stop doing it. Keep feeding them altruism, then why would they stop?

Leatherface isn't the issue, face camping is. Any killer can camp, ranged killers and killers with instant down abilities being the best at it.

Stop suggesting nerfs to the killer that is somehow balanced which is rare case in modern dbd.

You can camp efficiently with plenty of killlers trickster, trapper, hag, spirit, 99% myers

As people have said, Bubba isn't the problem; it's facecamping as a whole. People talk about facecamping Bubba a lot, but Hillbilly, Huntress, Myers, Doctor, Oni, Ghostface under certain conditions, Pyramid Head and Trickster can all make rescues near-impossible if they want. That's even ignoring the existence of Exposed perks and grabs.

Bubbas weird. Played normally, he is okayish. It's just that lazy trolls who want to ruin one person's match with as little effort as possible just pick him because its easy.

If we rework him you'll probably see a ton more Tricksters tbh.

I wont act superior because I think bodyblocking Pig is absolutely hilarious, and that's basically the same thing .

Ah but you see that's the thing, you can have multiple people go for a save and you can get the person off the hook. The problem is that Leatherface can down the entire god damn team in one go.

Leatherface didn't cause camping, he is simply the best at it. It's a symptom of the bigger issue.

Don’t get downed first and it’s GG EZ for you and two of your teammates. If you find yourself getting downed first in every single game, then maybe try being a little stealthier to start the match

Only if every survivor is crowding the hook against a Bubba. In that case, they are being idiots and deserve to go down - his entire gimmick is being able to multidown. That's like saying Legion needs to be nerfed because Frenzy is almost impossible to avoid being hit by.

Besides, with all those killers I mentioned, the best you can do is hook trade. There's no way to realistically save against a 99% Myers even if you bring your entire team. Trickster melts through health states of bunched-up teams. Pyramid Head doesn't care how many survivors are bodyblocking him, he has multidown and can time it to hit the unhooked survivor as well. Oni has multidown in a fraction of a second compared to how long it takes Bubba to rev his saw. It's not just a Bubba problem.

The hook mechanic is the problem imo the hook is there as something to balance the 4v1 but its very flawed. The problem is that its not very simple to fix. They've tried addressing it with perks (bt, kindred, ds) but at its core the hook is flawed.

On both killer and survivor side theres too many perks, powers, and addons that synergize with camping or would need to be patched in order to address such a core mechanic at this point.

I imagine the initial dev meeting where they discussed the game mechanics and at some point someone had to have pointed out "so theres nothing stopping the killer from just camping the hook? How is that fun for the survivor on the hook?" To which they mustve scratched their heads, tried a few other iterations and then gave up and instead just adjusted the game in ways to be more survivor sided at high mmr (fast gen speeds, lots of strong tiles, strong items etc).

This is one thing I will give survivors. Why am I trying so hard and failing with all these different killers when Leatherface can straight-up guarantee a kill or 2?

A good survivor wouldn't go down to a bubba's chainsaw.

It's not incentivized if you're not against day one survivors. If they facecamp, they get one one kill and the game is pretty much over if that's all they do.

A lot of survivors are also awful and then blame the killer. There have been plenty of times when I hook someone and the survivors barely give me time to leave the hook before they're beelining to make the save and not even trying to sneak around. So of course, I kill them and they get mad for camping.

Well, if you're going for kills and you're getting matched against opponents that are too difficult to beat, the best thing to do is just use facecamping Leatherface with NOED. He's guaranteed 2 kills assuming he can down someone before 3 gens are gone, or you can play by the survivor rulebook and get 3 hooks with maybe 1 kill if you're very lucky
