Does the new Leader really not work on gen repair?

I was watching Pupper's stream and everybody was complaining that the new Leader changes don't affect generator repair. The patch notes imply that Leader will still have the 3%/6%/9% increase. But they're saying the in game description doesn't have gen repair in the description at all.

Has anybody actually played with the new Leader on the ptb and can verify whether or not it helps allies fix gens?

    Correct. It affects several actions, with the exception of repairing generators.

    So Leader doesn't affect gen repairs at all? Not even the lower percentages?

    So what about Leader now, makes it worth a perk slot? I fail to see its benefit

    You misread, they changed leader % from 3%/ 6%/ 9% to 15%/20%/25% hence why it doesn't work on gens anymore. Prove thyself also had % increased, but only works on gens now.

    This kinda feels like a direct nerf to it then. I understand it can speed up other things like healing but most of those things you don't do with more than one other survivor.
