Artist's Very Rare Addons are Better Than We Think
Try Matias's Baby Shoes mixed with Severed Tongue. Both are great mid-chase perks. Matias let's the killer know when the survivor is passing in front of the crow. Fire once the survivor's red aura is in position.
Mixed with Severed Tongue, the cooldown for firing is practically non existent allowing the Artist to catch up far quicker than normal, similar to a Huntress Hatchet.
I think we already know about Severed Hands. Using Scott's Shotgun playstyle, the killer can tag multiple survivors with one crow, then follow up with a large, large spread with four crows and have the potential to hit multiple players. Discordance helps here.
The difference between Severed Crows and the typical Festering Carrion/Thick Tar mix is that a new survivor can get tagged by Severed Hands while Artist's cooldown is already underway, allowing the time that an Artist player is looking for for those follow up shots.
Please share any other add on combos you've found playing Artist. Just wanted to share the two combos above because I keep hearing Artist's addons are not very good and that has not been my experience.

Honestly, I’ve been playing her without add-ons and had just as much success. She’s the first killer I’ve actively tried that on. Her purples are very good, yes, but she doesn’t necessarily need ‘em either.

The Severed Tongue is insanely underrated, love that addon. Even then these addons kind of pale in comparison to the Festering Carrion and the Thick Jar, wish they would make some part of them basekit so running other addons is more appealing.

Unless it's not getting used by a large amount of people I doubt BHVR will pull the plug on something. Last time they did that was over two years ago with infinite mending legion they quickly disa led the add ons. Pretty sure Myers still has that bug that can stalk to go inside a hooked survivor preventing unhooks but they don't care really.

This has been my sense as well with Severed Tongue. The no distance lost is way better QOL then I realized.
That’s who introduced it to me. Was it someone else? I hadn’t seen this bug at all in my matches. It’s usually working exact The way described. I also bring Discordance and see them all getting birbed.

That explains a lot, actually. I've been seeing survivors randomly generate swarms and scratching my head over where the birds came from.
Anyway, that's an interesting tip on the baby shoes. I'll try them out - precision isn't my strong suit and that might help out.
