Downed in a snowman?
So I got downed in a snowman with a basic attack from a legion… is that meant to happen? I thought they took a hit? They hit me out of it and the end of the same hit it downed me..

Were you still in the animation of climbing into the snowman? During that animation, you can still be damaged.

I was downed by a Haunted Ground while I was in a Snowman walking around, they are fun but a bit buggy. But its still my favorite event so far !

Probably a latency thing - but yeah, there are tons of bugs.

Well Legion does have experience running around in suits so they probably know the weak spots

I got downed by a legion too in a snowman.
In the next match it worked normally again. I think they just bug sometimes.

That's intended, actually! Exposed effects down you, and killer powers hurt you--but yeah, it's a pretty neat event! Wish more maps had snow, tbh, but maybe that's just me.
That's a latency issue due to the improper collision of the snowmen, as far as I understand. That's what I understand from what I was told, anyway--so take it with a grain of salt.

They can bug out sometimes or hit validation just wasn't on your side for that one. It's happened to me too where it looks like I'm fully in the snowman on my side yet I still take damage (whether healthy to injured or injured to downed).

I dont think thats intended you are supposed to take another hit with snowman. So even if exposed I should take a hit with snowman.
But Im not english maybe I didnt understand the patch notes.
Yes me too I want more snow map. I can imagine a forest in a snow night, very dark and no main building. Just a forest. The killer could be the Yeti or the Wendigo !

To explain better: the snowman gives a survivor a kind of "false" health state (apparently labeled the "disguised" health state? That's my best guess from the points you get from it) above healthy--they can take an extra basic attack so long as they aren't mid-animation.
However, a hit while you are exposed will almost always put a survivor in the dying state; in the case of the snowmen, it puts the survivor from the disguised state into the dying state.
So, yeah, it's probably not explained well in the event description.

I downed a couple of survivors fully in suits. I was playing wraith I believe. Or maybe trapper. Probably just a bug.

But I was told this event was just for fun and no one is using it for an advantage. I've also been told you can't use it for an advantage.

I mean, you can use it for meme builds.
... And also some survivors are using the extra health state afforded by snowmen to extend chases against baby killers, which is kinda messed up, not gonna lie.

Survivors use it all the time in a chase to jump in when I get the jump on them in the open and hope that they clamber inside fast enough for me to wast time wiping my blade clean, while they scurry away like the rat they are for abusing the cute snowman mechanic like that :<
Just another reason to play more Bubba during this event: if timed right his chainsaw swing will pop the snowman and then his next backhand swing will down the survivor. Some call this unfair, I call it "evening the playing field".
EDIT: just to be clear, I will hit them with a regular M1 if they approach me in the snowman suite and wiggle a bit, but if they try to abuse the snowman as a getaway vehicle, I will try to reve my chainsaw.

I think I got hot after the hit animation tbh. I mean it’s happened loads before, I guess the snowman is just showing how bugged it really is. And I have good ping.

Has also happened to me versus Pig.
Was in a chase and got some distance, so figured I'd try and hide in one. Was in there for at least 5-8 seconds before Pig came up, M1'd and downed me. Despite chillin in the snowman.

That can't be right. Why are all the ghostfaces complaining that snowman are eating their marks then?

Not sure, I'd have to look into it to understand that--maybe a problem with the fact that they don't have proper collision?
