It is subjective that part is true but there are still universal feelings that when someone walks up to you and asks "Hey I want to play a horror game what do you recommend or what's your favorite horror game." Along with the follow-up question of why. on the resident evil front4 on easy 5 and 6 are but I was more pointing to 1-4 and 7 haven't played 8 yet and I am not saying mine are the right one I am just saying my opinion and why that is.
Also, I mean it when I ask this when someone ask "Hey I seen that so and so is in dead by daylight how is it" how long until the negatives creep its ugly head to you

I know they are but whenever someone brings up horror its usually a combination of them. If we are talking pvp friday the 13 got it to a point it just sucked as a game on technical fronts.

Yes, because it was unfair.
The ‘horror’ comes from the unfairness, ino. That just doesn’t work if you want to ‘balance’ a PvP game. They are quite obviously mutually exclusive.

Yes and no There is a sense of unfairness but not where it should be. Why else do you think there is so much on how much people hate playing killers then ######### cause the wait times as survivor are so long and no joke there are videos and forums on how to have fun as killers not perk wise just having fun in general. As for friday the 13th like I said it was a broken mess people falling through the world glitches and so on but the feeling of it was there.

DBD is a horror game that isn't supposed to be taken seriously in the horror genre. It also gets stale and boring fast once you get used to everything.

Correct, it's a horror themed multiplayer action game or whatever you want to call it. Which is basically the best thing you can hope for in any game people play for hundreds if not thousands of hours without heavy potentially arbitrary restrictions on player choice to make people play "the right way".

Its a horror game for killers.
I swear, i once almost died irl because a survivor jumped out if a completly random locker i walked past and he head on stunned me with that.

Evil Dead looks very promising. Texas Chainsaw could be the biggest competitor to DBD if it plays well.
It's not a given, as licensed games aren't guaranteed hits (the Predator and Alien online mutiplayers didn't set the world alight), but I feel these two are going to make a notable impact. Horror gamers deserve it.
