[Suggestiuon] How to deal with DCers

A solution i personally would like, is that frequent DCers should be in their own MMR lets call it DC Rating (DCR).

So the more people DC, the more they get teamed up with other people that DC a lot.

Everyone will be happy, the people who defend the DCing, and dont mind people DC, will get matched with DCing people.

And the people who dont want to play with DCers, get rid of them.

This is a win on all fronts.

Edit : Just to be clear, im not talking about removing the current DC penalty but adding to it. :)

Reminds me of the penalty pool in DOTA where you got matched in a similar fashion.

They're already dealt with by DC penalties, if they do it too much it'll get real inconvenient for them to continue playing.

But that's what we want there are survs out there that dc as soon as one tiny thing don't work like they want to aka they get downed and they screw over the rest of there team those people should either be locked to play with others that act like 5 year old or should just stop playing so they don't f up three other people. Every body can have there rage dc moment once in a while that's not the problem and you can have connection issues from time to time but we talk about the regular DC guys that DC every 4 matches

Being able to DC is healthy and needed. The issue I have when people DC is not the DC itself but rather the fact that the whole team as well as the killer are punished for it.

DC needs to exist because some matches have toxic survivors, toxic killers, sometimes matches are simply unfun. The DC penalty does not fix anything as players who are not enjoying themselves will simply either kill themselves on hook, or tab out until the match is over. If anything the penalty causes more issues then it solves because it forces players to continue a match that they either, A have no way of winning (player disconnects or highly coordinated SWF/ sweaty killer). B punishes player who have a legitimate reason for wanting to leave, (hacking, trolling, bullying, ECT). I would want the penalty removed but simply compensate all remaining players.

I dont talk about single DCs once in a while, im talking about people who abuse this DCing.

I had 3 DCs just the other night when playing doc, i got 2 hooks within 60 secs of the match start, 1 suicided on the hook and the other DCed, shortly after a 3rd DCed.

THAT is the people im talking about.

Except that when someone waits a long time in queue they get put into the first available match, so people who DC would still get shoved into matches against people who don’t.

Sorry but the DC ban needs to stay. People who DC frequently can get bent as far as I’m concerned, it ruins the game for everybody else in the match.

And my point is this. lets say you made it that every 5 disconnects got you moved to low mmr. In your example, your idea would change.... nothing. Because as you said the 1st player rage quitted by killing himself. Those 2 then responded by disconnecting because it is near impossible to win with 3 players. Your idea would change nothing. He did not violate any rules you said, and the other two left for in my opinion a valid reason. Most players don't even disconnects all that often anymore. They just end themselves on hook to avoid the peanlty.

It does, and thats why they should play with each other and not people who dont DC

But my point is your idea won’t actually prevent them from playing with other people. Matchmaking is a guideline for the system but it gets overridden when it can’t find a match on a reasonable amount of time. And the “DC Pool” would be a minority of the playerbase so they’d be more likely than average to get put into next available matches.

I get that, but it will still match them up against each other primarily, instead of us.

As it is now, its just a mixed bag.

A game with unstable servers, cheater outbreaks and game breaking bugs cannot afford something like that.

Behaviour Interactive is not a poor company, they have existed since the 90s and have a ton of games behind them.

Ok, if your idea is to do this to supplement the DC penalties then that’s fine, I was reading it as you wanted to eliminated the DC penalty and just use MMR
